This is your classical Vegas casino. It doesn't have some Disney World theme with clowns and roller coasters. The smoking indoor I could have done without. The place has decedent restaurants to include a high end steakhouse. It sits right in the middle of Freemont Street. There's plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel. There's even a live band on Freemont Street. I don't care about the casinos I just go for the food and booze.

I had called ahead of time to check on the Golden Nugget resort fee. The representative on the phone said they were not on the hotel property but the resort fee was negotiable at the front desk during check in. When I checked in I told them I did not need any of the items the resort fee included (the pool was closed for the season anyways). I was not given a Wi-Fi password, I did not use the gym, I did not drink the 4 bottles of water in the room, no parking, no boarding pass ... nothing that they they attempt to justify their exorbitant resort fee with.

After I checked out I received an invoice

Not great.

It's not gross to the point of being unacceptable. It's just not great.

We're locals and like staycations aroun town. Picked up a special rate. Sounds great, right? Easy night away from home. No so fast!

Check in at 3. Got there around 2. Desk agent: hard press about paying $15 for early check-in. Mind you, all valets and all check-in counters except Gold Tower closed. Self park and hike mile to find the desk.

Asked for Rush Tower. Agent had big attitude about Rush vs. what we booked. Paid $40 to "upgrade" and check in "early."

Room was OK. Circa

After having a not so good experience at Fremont Casino I came here and was so happy. The people working in this casino are genuinely nice people. Not just "customer service nice" but actually nice people. They were more than willing to help me learn how to play at the dice table, they're funny, they care, they're patient! I love it here and this is probably my fave casino experience so far!

First, Checked in to hotel at 1 am. Walked a mile to the room only to find it completely dirty, including the bathroom. Called front desk, waited on hold for 10 minutes, and then told to come all the way back to the desk for a key to a different room. Second, this hotel is completely run down. Carpet stains, paint peeling from woodwork, wallpaper stained and also peeling, bathroom had one roll of tissue, vending machine on floor is empty and turned off, guest ice dispenser on the floor is disgusting. Third, the staff we encountered just didn't care. Yeah, we're done staying here

Amenities are great and the update is nice.
Like every single other hotel though, the "mask mandate" is just a series of shiny signs that are not enforced. I would happily pay three times the price for mask policies to be enforced by staff and management. We were told by a staff member at the check in desk "Oh, I require guests to wear a mask while checking in. What they do afterwards is their business.". Oh. Cool. So you give zero f$&@s about actual laws. Gotcha.
Do better Nugget. Be better.

Looked forward to coming back to this place after several years. Great location on Fremont Street.
Upon checking in the safe did not work in maintenance had to come and fix that. A few minutes later the circuit breaker the bathroom blew and lights not working. Reset the circuit breaker and they seem to work fine for a couple of hours. Then the circuit breaker kept tripping and the lights no longer work in the bathroom. Maintenance will be back to fix that they said.
The room several years ago looked a lot newer. Not that much updating sense. Trying to watch a beautiful sunset but the windows

Alex from reservations is rude as hell. I called today, December 3, 2021, to book a few days for this month and he was just atrocious. He spoke to me like I was slow and had the worst tone and attitude. I was surprised and didn't know how to respond in the moment, I asked his name and ended the call.

Parking is a joke. We arrived at 4:15. We weren't able to get into our room until 5:45. That's how bad it is. No one was helping direct traffic. This was seriously worse than LAX.
I've got to ask, how is this place supposed to make any money if people are spending their time waiting to park instead of gambling? What an utterly baffling business strategy.

When I come to Vegas I enjoy staying on Fremont street for the entertainment and close proximity to everything . When your on the strip, everything is a distance which is a pain because if you have a good buzz on by the time you walk to the next casino, it is worn off. To me, Fremont is the experience .

THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!! Starbucks people were so rude and were very mean to customers especially caroline. The people in the hotel had no idea what they were doing and couldn't answer simple questions that they should know. Motel 6 is better then this place and that's saying something.

10/20/2021-Hotel is always great as far as cleanliness and service, 5 star for that but 2 given because of the noise. We specifically requested a room away from Fremont Street so we wouldn't have to hear the outrageously loud music. Doesn't seem to matter, the music outside is so loud it made our windows rattle on the 21st floor. A call to the bell desk (for some reason front desk wasn't working on our phone) and female bell clerk left me on hold for more than 5 minutes, guess she knew she was as ghosting me.

Come on Old town, you don't need to try to compete with the

I was so excited for my stay at the Golden Nugget but it turned out to be a disappointment. I was there for a poker tournament that I had won a seat to pre-pandemic so I had been looking forward to this for over a year.
My stay started out with a 45 minute line to check in and when I finally got to my room, the safe didn't work. Since I was heading back down, I decided to let the front desk know but the line was still huge so I talked to a man at the bell stand. He wrote down my room number and said he'd let maintenance know. When I went back to my room a couple of hours later it hadn

I remember seeing photos of me as a baby being carried by my grandmother in front of this place. I'm glad to see it is still standing today as many of the classics have been destroyed and replaced. I'm glad they are part of the Fremont Experience and have spruced up their their interior to get with the times.

I expected nobody to really be all the way out here on a busy weekend of concerts, fights, and conferences but was pleasantly surprised to see that people have returned to this once defunct area.

I hope they continue to evolve and keep people coming over from the main area of

We paid $270/ night for the room that has a rusty shower and leaking faucet.
They told us that cleaning should be reserve 24 hours. We asked for cleaning the first day we were there. We arrived at 10pm thinking that our room will be clean but it was not. I called the front desk about it and they transfer me to housekeeping. There was no costumer service at all and no apologies. The housekeeper just said it will be clean tomorrow and that's our 3 night and we were leaving the following day. The place is old and not well maintained. The TV and carpet are not to the current standard for the

This has to be one of the worst hotel experience in my 30 years of travel. My friend checked in an hour early and the hotel did not charge them for early check in. I am only 19 minutes from 3 pm and the hotel wants to charge me for early check in!!!! Maybe the different treatment is because I'm Asian and my friends are not.

When I went to my room, there were someone's luggage in my room. Have to go to the front desk again to get a different room.

I'm gonna give this place 5 stars because I really did not find anything bad to complain about. What do you expect from a place that has pretty much everything you need on a Vegas vacation. From restaurants and bars to swimming pool and other small stores. Oh and did I forget that when you walk out the doors you are standing on Fremont Street. I mean what else do you want...technically all you need in Vegas is a room with a bed to sleep in cause the rest of the time you will be out and about.

This place is well kept and clean, the rooms are nice and of clearer the location tells it all.

One of the prettiest hotels downtown Las Vegas. Old school charm and stunning ambiance.

Was a guest past few days. Very impressed with the actual casino. Yes it's very Smokey but very beautiful.

Now let's get valet parking open and all the restaurants! It's too pretty to be half empty.

Slow and easy, let's kick back and unwind.

Who's in the mood for some fun? I'm ready for the weekend, put that smile on let's roll. Our destiny is fun and joy.

It's time to celebrate, as you pull up it's a post COVID now. We can go out and play now. Remember when we could roam and just wander. A drink in your hand, hand in hand next to that special one. The twins behind us. Let's go and find a piece of happy again.

The bar is open. Lucky, that this is Vegas. The check in desk is right across the way from the bar. Stop off and get that drink before checking
