What began as a part time job working for a pre-existing mobile DJ company, Toshi (owner) quickly transformed his DJ-ing hobby and passion for music into a well rounded and admirable mobile DJ business. While in the midst of studying Biology at UH Manoa, Toshi quickly realized that he wanted to do nothing more than turn his DJ hobby in to a full time career.
We realize that the planning process is a tough time for everyone. So let us take some of the stress off of you and give you some tips that might make things a little easier! Take the time to schedule a meeting and get to know your DJ/Emcee. Scheduling a meeting is one of the best ways for us to understand what exactly you as our client may be expecting from us.

THIS BUSINESS FILTERS OUT THE BAD REVIEWS!! I didn't want to write this but I feel like people should be aware of what it's like to do business with Spectrum. I'm not from Hawaii so a childhood friend of mine, who's wife is from Hawaii, recommended Toshi to me for my wedding. In the beginning everything was easy and since I'm not in Hawaii, everything was basically done via email or on the phone. We put down 30% as per requested, no problem. Our wedding was suppose to be April 2020 but because of the pandemic, we had no choice but to postpone. We contacted all of our vendors mid March to postpone

Who's THE BEST? Toshi!! We worked with Toshi for a few years, considering our wedding was initially planned for 2020, and then COVID happened. By the time our wedding was finally replanned for (the last time), we were all prepped and ready to go, many thanks due to Toshi!
We had a Zoom chat with him 2 weeks before our wedding in late summer 2021 where we hammered out all the final details, and Toshi was extremely accommodating to work with. Toshi was so easy to work with, and was great about planning ahead and staying in touch with us throughout the process. Holy moly. I don't leave a lot of reviews but Toshi is not just an amazing DJ, MC and sound guy, he is one of the nicest people ever. We hired him to do our wedding after hearing he was a good choice. The entire time leading up to it, he was super responsive, cooperative and thoughtful in the kind of music we wanted. I wanted a chill/oldie/soulful music type of vibe for our wedding and he delivered 10-fold. I even threw him some super vague descriptions of the kind of vibe I wanted and honestly he was able to figure out what I was talking about and everyone said the music was just perfect

Toshi was great from the get-go. We were referred to Toshi through several sources and it makes sense why. He was very prompt, knowledgeable on his craft, and offered great advice for our event. We were one of the couples impacted by Covid-19 and had to postpone. Like many of the couples, this meant piecing together a follow-up wedding in a short time frame. Toshi and his crew were absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. It was tough because we were a COVID couple, rescheduled our wedding multiple times. We are so glad he was available for our actual wedding day. He has a very informative consultation with you, gets to know you as a couple, and what you vision is like for your wedding. He is not only a DJ but also can be your emcee, and offers lighting and other technical rental stuff too. Cannot rave enough about how awesome Christian was for our wedding on 1 March 2020. Toshi started the initial conversation with us and we had phone consultation with both Toshi and Christian several months out, then a face-to-face meeting with Toshi and Christian a week prior to the wedding to finalize all arrangements. They were incredibly receptive to our song choice and had everything we wanted. During the consultation, they also provided suggestions to songs and how to tailor our song choices to the wedding vibe, and it worked out perfectly!

This review is long overdue. As a wedding planner based on Oahu we have had the privilege of working with Spectrum Entertainment since the beginning! Our first wedding together was in August 2015 and they have been one of our preferred DJs ever since. Toshi has the professionalism of a business owner way beyond his years. Oh...my..GOD!!!! Toshi was... NO! IS an amazing DJ/MC from the second we spoke. He is highly detailed, organized, and extremely creative!!!!! Throughout the whole wedding, he kept the energy going and slammed it during the dancing portion. I am from the Bay Area (San Francisco), so we need a good mix of EDM and hip hop and he provided that kind of mix we wanted. Almost a week later we still have friends rave about him. We can't even stop repaying our videos!

Cannot say enough great things about Toshi. He is perhaps the most down to earth and professional Dj we have met. This man listens to what you are saying and he makes sure he brings you and your guest a great time! From the setup with his partner Christian, to music was perfect. The only slip up was not practicing my dance move with my group lmao. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about getting married in Oahu. You need music? He has it. You need lighting? Toshi and Christian did an amazing job with our wedding I am so glad that they were a part of it. From the very beginning they were very easy to communicate with and very collaborative in understanding what type of music we wanted as well as offering options for uplighting and dance floor lighting which added a beautiful touch for the night! Both Toshi and Christian were just lovely to work with. Since Toshi had another wedding the same night, Christian was our DJ. Toshi was responsive and very on top of stuff. He helped us to keep our timeline of things that we needed to get done prior to the wedding while also being very laid back.
When we met with both Toshi and Christian in person, they were on top of it and knew what they were talking about. I liked that they give us "homework" to give input the type of music we liked.

This cable company stinks! JUST KIDDING! Poor Toshi and Spectrum Entertainment now can get mistaken for the subpar cable company that tons of people have problems with. :(
Ever since the first day we met Toshi, we have had amazing things to say about him. I personally am more comfortable going with companies that have great communications skills and as much attention to detail that I have. He was very patient in answering all of my questions (trust me, there were alot) and understanding when having to explain something to me in more detail.

Toshi and Spectrum were AWESOME! You won’t find a better DJ, MC, lighting and/or sound company for your wedding or any event. Toshi is extremely professional, but laidback and fun at the same time. Just what you want in the DJ, MC, lighting and sound company you work with for any event. Spectrum provided us with sound equipment for our ceremony and reception, lighting equipment that set the mood in the ballroom for the reception, as well as DJ and MC services.

TOSHI IS AMAZING!!!!!!! Our wedding wouldn't have gone so perfectly without him! I can't express enough how awesome he is! He's super professional and incredibly fun and easy to work with.
