A small group of Fayetteville citizens, organized by Mayor Stephen Cushing over a year ago, have purchased the iconic E.J. Knesek Building on the town's Historic Square. The newly formed Texas non-profit corporation, Fayetteville Community Center Group, plans to convert the building into a multi-use community center and theater for use by the town's many non-profit organizations.
The Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations/ Fayette County Veterans Memorial Flagpole was formally dedicated on Memorial Day 2008. This flagpole serves as a memorial to our fallen veterans, and those who have served from Fayette County. When you see the flag at half staff please know we do this to honor a veteran and their family who have called on us in their time of need.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
