All professionals at Plano Psychiatric, PA maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in the medical field. Farheen Makani earned her Master's degree and completed her psychiatric training from University of Texas at Arlington. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Never heard such an annoying receptionist. This is my second time where I had a bad experience. In her job she needs to be courteous and not be ready to chew someone's head off. I had left a VM to reschedule an appointment and had asked to call but she in turn canceled the appointment and never called me back. Since I never received a call back, I called again and she said that the appointment was canceled and just hung up. Unbelievable Kelly!!!

My experience here was disappointing to say the very least. I had been having some fairly intense reactions to a medication i was on and when i asked Mrs. Makani if it had to do with any of my medications she said no. so i went and got a ton of neurological testings done and absolutely nothing was wrong with me. Upon my next appointment I asked again about the side effects and i told her i did multiple forms of testing and it all came back negative. She then said “Oh no it’s just a side effect of this medication” after telling me before that the side effects i was having were not because

Everyone here is kind and helpful. They all are very friendly and have a great communication! I frequently forget about my appointments, but they send me reminders and even call to remind me. Farheen Makani is amazing! She listens very well and is a great help to me. I would be lost without her. 10/10. Definitely recommend!!

Very poor business. They were 45 minutes late on my scheduled appointment with the Nurse Practitioner (not even the actual doctor) . They then talked to me for an hour and refused to prescribe medication that I have been taking for 15 years. They tried to get me to switch to a different medicine which was on a pencil holder in their lobby. After all that, they would not even refund me for the visit. I talk to the psychiatrist (owner) about the refund and he offered me $15 to split my copay and not dispute the charges.
I would not recommend this Psychiatric office. You should seek better care elsewhere

This office is the first positive staff experience I have had with a psych office in probably 10 to 15 years. They are always helpful, friendly, and responsive. The Nurse Practioner, Farheen Makani, has been godsend in my life. She is far more attentive and helpful than any practitioner I have ever had. I didn't even know that you could have someone write scripts who also spoke to you much less listened to and cared about what you said. She has been with me through one of the hardest times in my life and I dare say I might not still be around if I had been seeing one of my drs of old who barely

I went in for my first appointment a few weeks back and I have nothing but good things to say about this office. I have been to a lot of doctors offices, but the people here were so friendly. The staff greets you with a smile and are very helpful. The nurse practitioner Farheen was very nice and really takes the time to listen to you. She made me feel really comfortable I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a psychiatric doctor

Firstly, the staff is very friendly and always have a smile on their face which creates a positive environment as soon as you walk in. Dr. Makani is very helpful, nice, and friendly. My first visit consisted of a brief interrogation followed by the prescribing of a medicine advertised in the lobby. Fast forward two months, I begin having an adverse reaction to said medication and am hospitalized. I never received a phone call from my doctor nor did they do a welfare check even despite having missed an appointment the week following my hospitalization without notice. For all anyone at this office knows or cares, I could be dead. Find an office with better reviews and a physician who cares for your well being.

This office and it’s staff are simply amazing. They are so accommodating and friendly. The front staff are very professional and easy to work with. They explained me the entire process of check-in and how my insurance coverage works in detail. They sent me initial paperwork electronically a couple of days before my appointment and I could fill them out at my own time and not sitting in the office.
The best part of my visits is my NP Farheen. She is such a sweet person, who really really understood what I was going through. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease which I have never felt with
