Services
Augustino's first opened its doors in 1978 as an Italian Grocery store. Rows of specialty sauces, pasta and oils filled the shelves along with the usual convenience store items. The Deli cases were lined with carefully chosen meats and cheeses. Sandwiches were made using fresh sliced ingredients and piled high on fresh-baked artisan breads.
Mounds of fresh greens topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, provolone cheese, our hormone and antibiotic free grilled chicken breast and slivered almonds. Served with poppyseed dressing. Our fresh green mix topped with fresh strawberries, sliced avocado, feta cheese, our hormone and antibiotic free grilled chicken breast and pecan halves.
Raised on family farms, we use a whole muscle turkey that's roasted without using binders or llers. Loved by Generations. Because our fans know we only use the highest quality meats & cheeses and still fully loaded! Augie's pasta salad, marinated artichokes, crab salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw, fresh tomato mozzarella, rotini pasta, loaded baked potato salad.
Please Note: Augustino's is not a gluten-free environment. We have prepared this list of menu options based upon the most current ingredient information from our food suppliers and their stated absence of wheat/gluten within these items. Since we prepare food from scratch in our prep kitchen, wheat flours and many wheat-based products are used throughout the day.
The secret to our great sandwiches starts with the products we choose. From Turkey and Deli Sliced Chicken Breast that is raised on family farms, hormone and GMO free to our Corned Beef, Italian and Roast Beefs made in house daily, you can serve Augie quality at home. We bottle our own vinegar and oil dressing, and our hot gardinera, and we've made our pasta sauce, meatballs and sausage available for take home - because you've asked!

Always fantastic. If you haven’t had the fried pork chops with vinegar and hot peppers, you need to do that now. I’m also a big fan of the Veal Chop Milanese. When they have the soft shell crabs, the francaise is fantastic. The staff treats you like family, if your family is slightly abusive (it’s a good thing). If you like eating at restaurants full of pretentious staff and customers, this isn’t your spot. While it’s sometimes tough to get a reservation, it’s definitely worth the wait.

A place we were recommended to try in Hoboken. First the bad : 1) finding parking in Hoboken is an ordeal 2) VERY small restaurant, you need reservations.
Now the good : 1) the food was delicious. We had the veal Parmigiana on the bone, scallops in Brandy sauce and sweet mussels.
Overall, I rate based on the food.
So for me it's worth it.

Had been waiting months to have dinner here and was really disappointed. The food was EXCELLENT, but service sub par, the portions for the price?? I would be very upset if I was charged the $5 sharing fee for that amount of calamari. We had out of town guests and felt rushed to enjoy dinner and conversation. We also realized that our tip was already included (party of 5) something our waitress ( who btw was very friendly) did not tell us in advance. In Hoboken you can find great food everywhere but atmosphere and service in today’s world is still #1.

Let's cut to the chase, you're gonna love it. This place is very old school Italian, do expect a little bit of that in the heart and soul of this place, from the food to the staff. Our bartender and server Denise was delightful, and made our one year anniversary dinner absolutely delightful, can't wait to be back.

Reasons i removed 2 stars
1 star for being overpriced. Almost 23 dollars for 3 shrimp cooked in brandy and butter. That comes out to 8 dollars a shrimp when accounting tip. This is by far a rip off. Overly priced. Only a 3 star Mich can get away with those types of prices. (The shrimp were okay, nothing memorable about them)
1 other star was knocked out because the food was, well, bland? The veal parm had no seasoning. It was just, fried and breaded. IV had better else where.
They only accept cash, i wont knock a star off for it.
They had good service or at least reasonable rotation and water

I can’t believe that I lived in Hoboken for 10+ years without ever going here. It’s fantastic. The second I walked though the door, I knew by the aromas in the dining room, I was in for a night of good food. We (thankfully) got to taste everyone’s dishes and everything was exceptional. Veal picatta, chicken parm, lamb chops and GIANT veal chops were all so flavorful and well prepared. We also had the juiciest meatballs and the calamari (and its tomato sauce) was the best I’ve ever had. Great servers with sass! Make a rez and go.
