She is a licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia who specializes in conducting developmental, psychological, and psychoeducational evaluations for individuals of all ages. Dr. Temple has extensive experience conducting assessments for individuals with autism, intellectual disability, traumatic brain injury, ADHD, ADD, learning disabilities, and social-emotional disabilities.

Dr. Temple can help you understand previous evaluation reports and results and recommend the next steps i.e. She can assist in the creation of 504 and Individualized Educational Programs (IEP's), compensatory education plans, school-based crisis-intervention and treatment programs.
Dr. Temple can attend school meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings, speak with other service providers (e.g., Speech-Pathologist, Psychiatrist, School Counselor, Pediatrician, etc.), and do presentations of evaluation results for various audiences given the need.

NOW ACCEPTING most major insurance plans: Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Tricare, Humana, United Health, Carefirst PPO and POS, and Medicaid. Evaluation rates depend on the type of evaluation and the unique needs of the individual. Dr. Temple will provide you with a testing plan, obtain pre-authorization from your insurance, and discuss the estimated out-of-pocket cost.
If Dr. Temple is out of your insurance network, then she will provide you with a billing summary that is appropriate to share with your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. We understand that evaluations are generally requested because of a pressing need. After all data has been collected, we customize a report based on the intended audience and include thorough and relevant recommendations.

I saw Dr. Jami Temple for an assessment for autism and ADHD. First, she offered a free consultation to set expectations, and ensure the assessment would provide what I was looking for. Throughout, she was kind, thorough, welcoming, and easy to work with. She makes it easy to talk about difficult things, and was able to make my weaknesses known without being demeaning at all. The assessment itself is lengthy (4 hours), but well-done. I felt that every detail was included to make sure that the final diagnosis was reliable and fit well.
