If you have carpal tunnel syndrome, you know how painful and limiting it can be. Carpal tunnel is one of the most common nerve conditions in the country, with estimates approximately 2% of the adult population in the United States suffer from the condition.

Something you might not know it that soft-tissue treatments such as, Active Release Technique can help most people suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome relieve pain and regain normal use of their forearms, wrists, hands, and fingers without having to have surgery. If you have noticed limited the use of your hands and wrists, you may not need surgery to restore normal function.
One of the most profound way of thinking of functional rehabilitation that I have ever read came from the Prague School of Rehabilitation. It was something that Dr. Liebenson wrote about in his book, "Functional Rehabilitation of the Spine, " it was a chapter on something called dynamic neuromuscular stabilization or DNS.
Please select a specific region or type of exercise such as "Nerve Floss" to head to the specific exercise. See how adding the provided exercise(s) to your at home program, can help you any one of the following conditions below. Please understand this is not a list of every condition we can treat. If you have any question on whether or not we can help you, please call our office at 309-585-0382.

I have been in and out of doctor offices for years for elbow issues. It took two sessions to alleviate pains I have had since high school basketball ten years ago. He knows his stuff! Highly recommended for any sports related or overuse injuries.

I have never had anyone in alternative medicine who sincerely was interested in my well-being as Dr. Shepard. He has taken the time necessary to show me techniques which will treat not only issues concerning my back but addressed my chronic foot problems as well. He even expressed the desire to consult with my podiatrist regarding issues with my feet. So, I would give his practice the highest grade possible!
Doctor, I haven't been in lately as other medical issues have taken precedent ie, my hemaglobin has dropped to 8.7.Therefore I have been taking iron infusions to correct this. Today is probably

Dr. Shepard is a very personable and professional chiropractor unlike any other that I have met or seen. He has tons of knowledge and helps treat your condition both short-term and long-term. He treats the cause of the pain and provides stretches and exercises that you can easily do at home to supplement the treatment. His staff are extremely friendly and helpful and it is very easy to set up appointments--even for the same day if possible! The office is clean and well-kept and I love that they provide clean t-shirts and shorts for you to wear if you come straight from work. Not many chiropractors

I first met Dr. Matt Shepard when he started his Chiropractic training at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He is very caring and honest and knowledgeable. If you are in pain or just need a "tune-up" so you can perform better, I would not hesitate to set up an appointment with the Shepard clinic. I appreciate his videos and blog, and have referred several of my clients to his web site for help with arm, hand, and wrist pain -- particularly the nerve flossing therapy technique.
