Services
The academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children should see a dentist when they get their first tooth and no later than 1 year of age. Absolutely, we have an "open door" policy and find that some children do better if accompanied by their parent or guardian. You can expect a comprehensive examination, tooth cleaning, fluoride treatment, and x-rays if possible.
We are preferred providers for Selecthealth, BCBS of Utah, Valuecare, Federal BCBS, PEHP and CHIP, DMBA, Aetna PPO, Aetna DMO with referral, Medicaid (generally 3 yrs or under or by referral of a pediatrician). We will bill other insurances companies, however, we are not preferred providers for them.

We love Dr. Barney and his staff. The slide in the front is ALWAYS something we HAVE to play on. The TV's in the rooms are a HUGE distraction and make a difference. The staff is fast and efficient and Dr. Barney does a good job explaining what he sees. The prizes at the end are equally as amazing! Overall, the techniques the staff use make going to the dentist fun and something the kids look forward to!

This office is amazing! We drive all way from Cache Valley to take our kids here. They've got a great playground/area in the waiting room, all of the staff members are great with kids, and they give toys at the end of the visits. They really go above and beyond to make seeing the dentist and pleasant experience for little ones.

The staff and Dr. Barney were amazing with my daughter !!! Thank you for helping my 2 year old daughter have a wonderful experience at the dentist !
Also the artwork in the waiting room is absolutely amazing. It's a wild life scenery with a list of all the animals you can try and find while you wait. Super creative :)

My son is two and a half and we went to Dr. Barney for his first ever dentist appointment. I love that there was an online virtual tour beforehand and so we could prepare. My son was super excited about the slide in the waiting room, but the staff was so prompt that we didn't have any wait (we used it afterwards just so he could have a chance). The visit was great and the dental assistant and dentist both introduced the tools and office equipment so my son felt familiar with it. My son has a little anxiety when he goes to the dentist but Dr Barney’s team make him feel so safe and secure. They know he likes dinosaurs and when we came in today for a filling they had his chair all set up with a dinosaur blanket, a dinosaur movie—even the tech was wearing a dinosaur scrub! It set him right at ease. And made the experience memorable for me. I loved how they took care of my boy.
