Ankle sprains are caused by an unnatural twisting or force on the ankle bones of the foot, often resulting in one or more ligaments on the outside of the ankle to be stretched or torn. If not properly treated, ankle sprains could develop into long-term problems. Bunions are misaligned big toe joints that can become swollen and tender, causing the first joint of the big toe to slant outward, and the second joint to angle toward the other toes.
It includes descriptions of our office location, including a map and directions, hours, appointment scheduling, insurance acceptance and billing policies. We know you have many choices when choosing a Podiatrist in Tavares, FL, so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site.
Foot and ankle pain is probably one of the most common reasons people come into our Tavares, FL, practice to turn to our podiatrist Dr. Breanna Ferguson for answers. While minor bouts of fleeting pain can often be treated with simple home care, there are moments when you'll want to turn to a foot care professional for treatment.
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain that the podiatric team here at Mid Lake Foot and Ankle sees in adults. Heel pain can happen to anyone; however, everything from being overweight to being on your feet all day can leave you prone to plantar fasciitis-related heel pain.
It's important to take care of your toenails and keep them trim and cleaned, but sometimes when you cut your nails improperly and leave edges that can curl into the sides of the toe and cause ingrown toenails to grow. Ingrown toenails can cause you pain and can cause other issues to happen.

When you wear shoes that are too tight, you stub your toe, or cut your nails too short, it can cause ingrown toenails to form and there are signs that you should be on the lookout to treat your ingrown toenail as soon as possible.Your doctor may recommend some at-home remedies for you to try to reduce any pain or infection you may be experiencing.

I have been seeing Dr.Ferguson for over a month now. Her self and her staff are wounderful. They sit and listen to your questions. They are very helpful with your needs. I would refer them to anyone looking for a great podiatrist. Two thumbs up for their practice.
