The hotel is ok but the TV sucks no channels worth watching on a rainy day

We had a great time at this small quiet, cute, and comfortable motel. The rooms were small but very clean.Love how they had there own dock to fish off all hours of the night and day. We will definitely be going back here next time we come..

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice, Very clean rooms. Located directly across the street from the water, offers access to a fishing pier. Very reasonable rates for it's location. Already talking about going back next summer.

I want to thank the owners for suggesting the hotel down the street because we asked a simple question...do you all have bed bugs? You got offended by that?and told us no rooms were available which we knew their was.,but that's ok.We good now, lose the nasty attitude management .

The rooms are nice but the shower is a bit small, the owners are nice and the beds are comfortable. I like the view. I've went there twice so far and it's over all good.

I checked out this morning explaining what my towels, linens, sheets looks like and the owner was very angry. I said I do not want my money back I just want you to know I am disappointed. I did not want my money returned I clearly just wanted to state the fact that his rooms were gross and dirty and I would've paid more had I have known and gone elsewhere. They have benches and chairs outside the room so everyone stays awake listening to those people, how about removing them and they can sit at the picnic table? I will post pictures of my towels and sheets just so you can get the clear picture

The room we got was very small but it was very clean and did offer the bare essentials. Our bill with taxes for one night was just $82 and for that amount we certainly got a good deal.

The only negative we could report on was the friendliness/attitude of the staff at check-in. Let's just say that the staff was clearly not part of the welcoming committee. Also, the free WiFi is there for you to use if you are willing to wait ten to fifteen minutes for a page to load. I would recommend the hotel does not advertise it as having "Free WiFi" as it clearly is not the case from a practical

If you require only the barest of essentials, then you might not mind staying at the Wakefield Motel, located on The Point in Colonial Beach.

This property has so much potential to be nice (classic motel charm), but it's just ratty. No updates of any kind -- no central air, no fans in the bathrooms, no hair dryer, no soap, uncomfortable bed, wood paneled walls... I felt like I was going to get electrocuted if I plugged in my curling iron.

What it does have is a small price tag, a small refrigerator, microwave and its own pier. Those give it the extra star.
