Services
Established in 2012 as a scenic working farm vineyard, The Winery at Bull Run lies on 225 acres adjacent to Manassas National Battlefield Park and next door to an equestrian farm. The winery itself was built to represent the two types of historic barns in Northern Virginia-a smaller 1800s-style barn and a larger 1920s-era dairy barn complete with a hayloft and hay lift cable and beam.

The Bull Run Winery is located on a gorgeous property and is a beautiful facility. My son, daughter-in-law, and I visited in December for a wine tasting especially on her special day-her birthday, to make it more memorable, and it was a very disappointing experience due to the service we received. The first issue was that we bothered to make an online reservation to hold a table with heated seating for the tasting. The staff member I spoke to had no idea what that meant and suggested we take any table that was open. Essentially, it just means indoor seating.
We sat down and waited for someone to

Great escape from DC, about 40-50m away. The views are beautiful, wine is good and service is friendly (ordering can yield a line, typically only two at the counter). They have 200+ 8 seater tables well spaced with umbrellas (note: 2hr limits). It's great for a day off but also for birthdays and special occasion (they have event spaces, when we went there was a 50p bridal shower). Highly recommend and they have horses onsite!

What a treat! My wife and I had a great visit. The man behind the bar, Andrew, did a great job explaining the wines we tasted. It was well worth the extra $3 to have his perspective on what my wife and I were tasting. I don't know how my wife stumbled upon this place. But I'm glad she did. The next time we visit DC, we'll be back. The wine was great, and we're used to wines from the west coast. It wasn't the usual stuff we find in the South. And the grapes were all from Virginia! We'll done!

Perfect get away from the city. About 45 minutes out from dc. The place is beautiful, the wine is decent and the service is good. We went for a birthday and rented a party bus(highly recommended). We didn't have more than an hour since closing, but the view of the Vinyard and horses were breathing. Highly recommend!

I came here for the first time on a very cold, rainy and crowded weekend . There is plenty of parking which is convenient and different spaces both indoor, private spaces and uncovered/covered areas outside. We had a large group but did not reserve a spot in advance. If you plan on sitting inside, reserving online seems necessary. We waited in a line to reserve a table in the "family" section under a tent. We ordered a few bottles from the outbuilding and nachos/fries/gyros from the food truck as well. The food was pretty tasty and needed. It is a great spot to meet up with friends while

Great location! Love this winery for the convenient location. Their service is always consistent. Employees are professional & polite. Their red wines are pretty good. White wines are a-ok. I love the venue there. They have great outdoor seating area. It is well spaced out. Indoor area is decorated with real civil war stuff. Food wise usually they have food trucks. Few times I've gone there, they had different food trucks each time. Additionally they have live music!

I just wish they allowed dogs outside!

We've been here a few times, once for a book talk another time for a wine and paint night. Tonight we did the Haunted Winery Walking Tour on Halloween. It was wonderful and very informative. We tasted the many wines available from the winery. I recommend Sweet Victory. It is as the name suggests, sweet. A perfect end to the wonderful night.

Stunning vineyard, ambiance and beautiful facilities. The wine however, is okay, the sangria pitcher was watered down we had to ask for another batch; plenty of snacks on the menu, we got a cold block of cheese we couldn’t put it on the crackers. I’ve been to plenty of vineyard/wineries this is my least favorite. If you want to daydream then come visit this place, best part is the views, ambiance and my cigar. Very poor service, the host triple charged my credit card!

02 Oct 21 - Bull Run Winery was a fun place for an outdoor date. After reserving we brought our own food to a table. The place is nice, an indoor and outdoor bar, live music and a great view at sunset. They also sell cider for anyone interested

The winery at bull run offers the historical nostalgia that Virginia is known for and boasts so readily. They are located on an old battlefield and display hundreds of relics from that time period. It really makes your trip into a museum visit!

The winery itself is beautiful. It's a large vineyard with a huge amount of space to spread out and relax. They have a lot of event space as well. We opted for the outdoor picnic tables.

The tasting we did was very nice and refreshing. We got a great variety of wine and red wines to enjoy. It was a perfect taste of everything they had to offer and

The Winery at Bull Run is my first trip to a winery that was not in a private section, and it ended up being an alright time. They do have a large set of rules though that they provide you upon entry (including one against taking pictures without a $100 photography pass). I reserved online with a $15 table fee.

I was seated on the patio with probably the best view of the other sections and the fields and horses across the way that gave brief moments of escape before realizing you're one of many tables enjoying the area. That in itself was no problem. The other tables were nicely spaced apart

We love Virginia wine country!!! So many beautiful picturesque options with world class wines. Bull Run winery meets both these criteria, yes. Hence the 2 stars. Here's a list of why I find myself taking away the 3 stars:
1. Very gravelly rough entrance - leave convertible at home and make plans to head directly to car wash when you head out
2. No dogs allowed (have yet to visit a Virginia winery that does not allow pets - not even outdoors)
3. TSA-like bag inspection and water dumping at entrance
4. Entry charge of $10.00 (have yet to visit a Virginia winery that does this)
In short - lovely

I came here for a friend's birthday, and it was ok! They have a food truck if you want food and they also offer pre-packed meat and cheese with crackers. If you want to go for a picnic, you're able to sit on the grassy area, and if you want a table, I'd recommend reserving one (or two depending on the size of your party). The tables come with an umbrella for some shade (super convenient). Also, the winery sells wine glasses. Overall, it is a pretty winery, but it's not the most extravagant. It definitely gives you all the cute winery vibes you could ask for, though! There&apos

What a fun experience! Parking was great. Security very well staffed. Welcoming tent was very professional. We were there for our friends’s engagement party. Felt like we were the only function going, but clearly there were at least 6, in addition to the normal winery crowd.

Whenever I'm in Virginia this winery is my go to. I've tried many of there wines already and never had one that I did not care for. Today was the Cabernet reserve which I really enjoyed. They had live music and a good way of seating. Once you check in they assign you a table, I was seated right by the fence with a view of the grape vines. I did not see the horses out this time but usually they are there. It's also family friendly. Enjoy!

The Winery at Bull Run has cracked the code. In a family-friendly area outside of a city notorious for its younger people, they cater to both crowds. During the pandemic, you can reserve a picnic table for $10 per table. There's an adults only section and an area for families where kids of any age are welcome. My family and a few friends went on Memorial Day shortly after they opened. Here's our experience:

1) Parking: With a very large lot, it was easy to find parking even when the winery is crowded. It's free.

2) Space: It's pretty large with massive green space with tables

I really enjoy coming here. And I recommend coming to visit!

It is located on historical grounds. A tour will provide you with a glass of wine and about an hour of interesting trivia about the inert and surrounding property. There's also a ghost tour about the supernatural activity on the property. Not that it's haunted, but the tour guides have stories about ghost spottings

If you like white wine, the Dullaney is the wine to buy. It's named after the owners daughter and it is a really delicious white. I don't have red recommendation as that's not my favorite. In terms

First-time visitor this afternoon for a Mother's Day celebration. Used online reservation system to hold a picnic table for 3 hours at cost of $10. We brought our own food, bought a bottle of red on site for under $40, and purchased souvenir wine glasses at $4 each. (Beats drinking a nice red from a plastic Dixie cup! Next time, will bring my own wine glasses.)

Although I wish I could've chosen my own table at the time of reservation (instead of receiving a table assignment upon arrival), the view was gorgeous. Best part was how peaceful we all found the venue, occasionally seeing horseback

I just love this winery so much. We have been here a few times already and not only the selection of Virginia wines are amazing, but the ambience, the beautiful out door spaces, the historic site, the vines, the horses and the most beautiful sunset you can see. If you are in Northern Virginia, you have to stop by. They have live music sometimes and you can bring your own picnic basket only need to buy the drinks over there, which is amazing!

Me and the girls went here last Sunday it was a last minute decision. Best decision I ever made. We booked a reservation it was literally only two left . When I arrived the whole parking lot was full but they have another parking lot so that works. The weather was so nice i went to the registration desk the girls sitting there were super sweet. They told me where our table was and gave me map. When I entered the tent tables were spaced apart with the heaters on the sides everything places perfectly. The band was in front of the text perfect. When we went inside to purchase wine everyone was just

My family and I came to this winery to celebrate my dad's birthday! In an effort to stay covid safe, we did choose to sit outside. That day was COLDDDDD so we came with blankets galore so we didn't freeze to pieces. We had a small faux fire pit, but it did NOTHING for warmth due to the wind. Some tables did have space heaters & I wondered why not all the tables had them. At least with tables of 4 people. Anyway we were prepared.

We did come here with a Groupon, so they gave us a BIG OLE pour of some white wine. The server was very generous and friendly. They gave us additional blankets

Really nice winery. It has a separate adult's only area which is a very nice option. They have a service area inside of the adult's only area which is convenient. The food trucks service the adult's only and family areas of the winery. Right now you are able to reserve a picnic table for 2 hours for only $10. To me that is perfect. I am always willing to pay not to have to wait or be hassled with finding somewhere to sit.

Small note: The day we visited there were several children in the adults-only area. I hope during the busy season they are more strict about the age limit.
