I called RD's in December in hopes to have our first fire in our fireplace on Christmas. Not knowing the condition of the firebox/chimney, I felt better having it inspected first.
I dropped the ball a bit in the midst of the holiday madness, and didn't reach out until the week before Christmas. Every other company I called was unable to come inspect our chimney except RD's. Despite being their BUSIEST season, Bob was so very accommodating and squeezed me in for an inspection. Let's just say it's a good thing we thought first before lighting a fire. Turns out there

Bob and his crew were fast, efficient, professional, and very knowledgeable. We have an old fireplace that needed work to make it safe & usable ~ another company had told us it was impossible and gave us an estimate of $4k for an insert. Bob repaired the damage to both the fireplace and the chimney & we now have a lovely safe fireplace and chimney, ready to enjoy. We give them our highest recommendation.

Our chimney suffered damage after the earthquake on October 16. We called a few companies and decided to go with RD's Service Contractor. Bricks had shifted and the chimney looked like it was in danger of falling over so we needed someone to come out right away. RD's immediately came out and evaluated our situation, it was as dangerous as we thought. They stabilized our chimney and began repairs. The job was pretty big but they were fast, tidy, and made our chimney earthquake safe. They are a very professional and great crew. We were surprised and happy with the cost of this big repair

Bob Dias and crew helped us tear down our old, unstable chimney and replace it with a new one. Weeks later, we had a leak in our fireplace due to water seeping through the shoulder of the chimney. So why 5 stars?
I'd like to think that this was a rare occurrence for Bob and crew, given the other Yelp reviews, and how every inspector and contractor I spoke to during the home buying process spoke highly of Bob's work.

We used Bob Dias and his company to repair our chimneys in both our rentals and he did a great job. I wanted to make sure the chimneys were repaired up to code and safety standards. He went above and beyond my expectations!! The fire places are ready to use. Honesty and awesome work you can't ask for more!

We had our fireplace cleaned by Russo's who recommended we call Bob about repairs that needed to be done. We called Bob and he gave a us an estimate. My husband wanted another just to compare and that person even recommended Bob. I can see why...the guy is first so nice and comes when he says he is going to, he was clean and quick and knew everything about the problem and just how to fix it. The job was done quickly and I was able to have a fire on Christmas Eve (he came 2 days before) . I had an appointment and had to leave and felt totally comfortable leaving he and his co worker at my home

Bob and his team are awesome! We needed a chimney repair on a house we just purchased because it was broken at the roof line. We were so worried of it falling into the house should there be an earthquake. They were superstars! We had a 5-star experience all around with Bob Dias. He came out within two days to give us an estimate, made extensive repairs to our fireplace two days later, stayed on budget and did high quality work.
He was professional and he and his partner left our fireplace clean and neat. He came when he said he would, called when he said he would, and honored the estimate he gave. He also spent time with us to make sure that we understood the principles for getting a really good fire going (how to start a wood fire, where to buy the best wood, etc.)

Hired Bob and his assistant for 1 job to fix a rental. Their estimate was a bit higher than a couple of other bids; but given their reviews on Yelp, I hired them. The quality of workmanship was satisfactory but they started the job 1 week after the scheduled start date and only notified me of the delay on the day that they were actually scheduled to start. Since every other contractor needed a minimum of at least 1 to 2 week's notice, rather than starting from scratch, I proceeded to go along with them.
