Excellent resort! Rooms are very nice, I'm staying in the one bedroom suite , bed not too comfy , but other than that we are very happy we chose to stay here . We get to enjoy ourselves at the Westin , right across the street , but spend a fraction of the cost . Their restaurant, Sunshine Grill is amazing ! I'm in love with Grand Cayman, I'll definitely come back and stay at the Sunshine Suites !

After arriving in our hotel room, I began to experience coughing/breathing difficulties due to the heavy odor/ fragrance in the room which Henry addressed by offering another room. Unfortunately, the room was as bad as the first room. Soon after being in the second room, my symptoms started again so we began to look around the room to locate the culprit of the injuring smell and found a plug-in air freshener, which we removed and gave to Henry. After removing the air-freshener and opening all the windows we waited for the scent to dissipate. Unfortunately, it did not...my couching/breathing difficulties

The room stunk from mildew or mold ,
The staff is a diaster ,
Needed sheets and a pillow for the pull out and 4 hours later they come up and throw them on the couch and leave ,
The bathtub/ shower did not drain / gross ,
Booked for 5 nights and was trapped there for 3 until we could finally another place to stay ,
The iron did not work .
I could go on and on here but I hope you get the picture..
Day 2 no room made up , no fresh towels no one cares etc . Etc

This place is great. The staff are very friendly. The grounds are kept up very nicely. I only have one complaint. There is no safe in the room. I've never been to a place that doesn't have a safe. When you bring lots of electronics it would be nice. They do have safety box in lobby but it's very small and can't fit much in it.

Trying to find an affordable room on seven mile beach during Kaaboo week was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I stumbled upon Sunshine Suites and was pleasantly surprised at not only the value, but the location as well. The Westin I guess owns the property, and for a daily fee all the amenities are available as if you were staying there. The short walk was well worth saving $200 a night on a room! Daily yoga on the beach was really nice and we could easily walk to Kaaboo down the beach. The facility was very clean, well kept and the staff overall were excellent. I'm looking forward

If you really wanted to stay at the Westin but couldn't afford it - Stay at the Sunshine Suites Resort! Its across the street from the Westin and you can use all the amenities at the Westin.
The standard rooms themselves at Sunshine are OK. They are definitely not a luxury resort. It's a nice perk to have a small kitchen to cook and a large fridge. You can also park right outside your room if you plan on renting a car. Something to note - there are no safes in the rooms. Complimentary continental breakfast is also included.
The restaurant at the resort (Sunshine Grille) is tasty!

Excellent place to grab some good food and a cold beer or cocktail. The staff was very nice and courteous to my wife and I! We sat out by the pool and enjoyed the wonderful food. Great place to come. The have happy hour from 3-6 and drink specials! I advise coming and having a drink and food and mainly relax.

Sunshine suites, i heart you. My BFF and i stayed here on a recent visit to the island. The Westin across the street was way more $$, but sunshine suites is a sister property. What does that mean? it means you stay somewhere way more affordable but have access to the westin's pool, beach, gym, etc. it worked out perfectly and was all of a 2 min walk. They make it super easy to spend $$ too, as you can charge things AT the westin (like drinks at the swim up bar.. yep) to your SS room. Thanks, guys!
As for SS- the room was spacious and clean, and had a full mini kitchen. full size fridge
