Taking care of your shoes is about more to us, it is how we honor family and the traditions we value most. Keeping your quality leather items looking great so they last for many years is Pablo's number 1 priority. Even if your shoes aren't damaged, wearing them frequently or even leaving them in the closet can leave them looking dry and dull, over time it can lead to cracking in the leather.
You don't want to wear dull shoes! A treatment of conditioner and polish with a professional shine will keep them looking great. Any type of leather products you have can be brought back to life and made to look like new again. Bring your purses, bags, luggage, coats or anything else you can think of to Pablo.

Pablo's grandfather began his business in shoe repair over 100 years ago. Since then Pablo's family has grown into one of the largest shoe repair families in the world, with many family members including aunts, cousins and uncles also carrying on the tradition. Pablo himself first learned shoe repair in his father's shop which opened in 1980.

I gave him my boots to repair before Covid hit. Really nice guy and seem to have a great knowledge of his craft. I tried to set up time to pick up the boots once they were finished but he was very non-responsive. I've been waiting to get my boots back since March. I understand that things are hard right now but he is not responding to me at all. It's very frustrating. I paid in advance and I have no boots.

DO NOT GO HERE. I never received my shoes back. I paid $25 deposit (for $50 quote) to get heels replaced on my expensive shoes. I was told at pick up they were in the storage and to come back the next week. I did, no shoes. I was told to come back the next week. I did, no shoes. Now no response to my calls and messages. I should be refunded my deposit and shoe price! So disappointed.

I never, ever write reviews even after bad experiences but this was so awful I cannot keep it to myself. I wish I had a read a review like this before I decided to get my shoes fixed here.
Came in and tried Pablo's out to replace the faux stacked leather finish and fix the heels on a pair of nice grey, suede shoes. Quoted me $100 (cash only) and 2 weeks to complete. It was six weeks later when I picked up my shoes (after repeated phone calls and stops into the shop, being repeatedly promised it would only be another day or two). The new stacked leather was completely the wrong color and applied

To summarize as the full story is too long, Pablo took a few days longer than quoted and kept forgetting who I was. At one point, the shoes were in different places in his shop with the deposit tag nowhere to be found and I was left hanging when he didn't show up at the time he specified which can be found in the text screenshot below.
I took pictures of his work. The edges of the rubber applied to the sole look fine but the skimming to meet the rubber to the sole on the bottom is not great. For what I paid ($50 which is about $20 more than I've paid for the same service before for better work

Very helpful and convenient! I had a $200 basketball shoe that had a horizontal crack on the bottom of it where the foot creases and was in danger of ripping across the whole sole of the shoe. They were able to seal it up for a cheap price of $25 and is back in shape to play in again. Definitely worth going here first before looking to buy a new pair of shoes!

Do you want your best shoes to look even better? I did, Pablo's delivers! Greatest shoe replace store I've ever been to. Pablo's shoe repair doesn't offer the best service, they have supreme customer service and will accommodate tight deadlines. Been going to this store for the last year and will be sure to continue attend this store.

O my godness. This place is great, I went to Pablos. My handbag broke and was looking not so good. To buy a New handbag is not in my budget, but to fix it is just right. He actually made it look better than I expected.
Pablo is a good man, he worked with my budget, he gave me my options and most of all, he is honest and fair business man. I have gone to many shoe repair places. Pablo always takes his time to explain the best way to take care and to prevent future damage to my things. I recommend this little hole in the wall to everyone that is reading this.
"Thank you Pablo for a job well done

Recently I got the opportunity to meet Pablo of Pablo's Shoe Repair and hear a little about his business. I was excited when I learned that his Shoe Repair location had been in the San Diego area longer than 99.999% of the businesses. I believe this is why? Stellar Craftsmanship, Competitive Pricing and Old Fashioned Customer Service. Pablo's Shoe Repair 40 plus years of community stability in the same location speaks volumes. Ask for Pablo or Pablo or Pablo!!!

I took my steel toed boots into Pablo's Shoe Repair and couldn't be happier with the service or my now 'brand new' boots. They offered a full restoration at a great price. The boots were old and peeling at the edges, even torn through in a spot. After the restoration, they look and feel brand new. A leather toe piece was added over the torn region and the whole shoe is once again pliable and healthy looking. See the pictures I uploaded!
