I wasn’t sure what to expect when sending my husband’s Thorogood’s out but I thought the restoration package was a great deal. My first disappointment was I sent them in the original box, which we always keep in case shoes need to be stored(season,function, etc) to easily identify. So I sent in original box but that did not come back. Second disappointment was husband said the shoes felt different when they returned, not as comfortable. So I’ve spent the restoration on a pair of work outs that weren’t inexpensive to being with but now sit in the corner literally collecting dust because

Not to happy with the outcome of the boots. 6 weeks later and I have boots that don’t even look like thorogoods anymore. No American tag replacement. I would have just taken them to my local boot repair shop. I sent them to nushoe so they would be restored to thorogood quality. Now they look like the off brand at Walmart. Next time I’ll just order a new pair.

One pair was returned and had been refurbished very well. I do not recall when that pair was returned. The request for this review came in January 2022, and that seems late.
The second pair is still at NuShoe. I inquired about it a few months age and was advised that NuShoe was waiting for parts. I have not been contacted by NuShoe about the pair since.
My conclusion is quality is good, but customer interface is lacking.

Two times in the past 6 years or so I have had a pair of Mephisto shoes refurbished by NuShoe. It was not inexpensive, but the process was seamless and the end product was outstanding! Both times the shoes were returned in like-new condition. About 4 years after the first refurbishment was completed, the soles cracked and I needed to have them redone. It was disappointing that this happened because the shoes are worn infrequently, but I still thought it was worth the investment to have them redone. They did not disappoint. I am hoping the second refurbishment outlasts the first because the shoes

Before even returning my boots to me, I had received a phone call about selecting the wrong package for my boots. The phone call was extremely polite and professional asking if I wanted to purchase the correct package and have the boots fixed. Obviously I said yes, and I could not be more happy. In my picture, I basically sent out a pair of boots that looked exactly like the ones on the right. On the left is what I received, the picture speaks for itself. You guys do amazing work and I will certainly be sending you that pair on the left!

My shoes are Allen Edmonds and Johnston and Murphy. I have always returned my shoes to the manufacturer for refurbishment, but a few years ago, Johnston and Murphy discontinued that service. Therefore, I had to seek another service to provide refurbishment of my shoes. After searching across to the contrary, I came across Nushoe. I was disappointed in the refurbishment of the shoes. Instead of them putting in new padding under the leather in-sole, they merely removed it, leaving a fairly hard base for my foot. Admittedly, this was maybe 3 years ago, as I am just now completing this review that

I really like a certain model of Johnston and Murphy shoes and Needed a good company to repair and resole. These guys did a great job. COVID hit and it took some time (not that I was going anywhere ) but when I got them back i was pleased with their work and attention to details. Definitely sending my shoes here again.

My husband's fav pair of boots were so worn out he could no longer wear them. I searched all over for a new pair just like them but came up empty. I talked to a boot maker who suggested NuShoe to repair his boots. I thought it was worth a shot. When the boots were returned i could not believe it! They were like brand new!! The work to the detail & stitching was amazing. The soles were perfect! Could not have been happier with the outcome. Will def. use & recommend again & again!

I had a pair of Thorogood station boots and a pair of Haix structure boots resoled and reconditioned. The service was straight forward and I liked the options/ add ons they had available (insoles, zippers, laces, etc). All in all its not a "cheap" service but its more cost effective for me than replacement boots, not to mention the value and pride of continuing to care for and wear the same boots for many years.
I've been to multiple structure fires in my structure boots and have walked many miles in my station boots in a little over a year and so far they're holding up nicely

They have done an excellent job refurbishing a pair of 10 year old
expensive shoes. The shoes were polyurethane soles. Usually shoe repair shops cannot replace these types of soles and heels.
They supplied a bag to send the shoes into them and kept me informed as to the progress right up until I received them back.

Brought new life to hard-warn 911 boots almost 10 years old. Had the Resole Package completed and they never looked and felt better. Did my own polish over the fresh factory for the extra shine and pop. Be prepared to wait at least 1-2 months for their return, but completely worth it. Easy to complete, will absolutely use again.

I sent in my work boots to be repaired. It took A LONG TIME, but you know...Covid, so I can't really hold that against them. They did repair the boots, but now the toe box is TIGHT; tighter than it was new. Almost uncomfortably so. Maybe they just need to be broken in again. Not sure I will try this again for the cost. Overall communication was not great, the price seemed a little high, not to mention turn around time.

It is hard to find good shoe repair places locally. NuShoe brought my beloved Raichle hiking boots back to life with conditioning and resoling. It was easy to mail the boots there, and NuShoe kept me updated on the status of the work with emails. The staff helped me understand the process and options over the phone.

Amazing from start to finish. The only place recommended to replace the soles on my expensive hiking boots, (molded soles) was nushoe. It took awhile from sending off and return, but what comes back looks brand-spanking-new. Not only are your soles new, but your whole boot is spiffed up and new laces installed. I bought the package for that. Easy walk through system where you print out the prepaid FedEx label to send them with, is very helpful. Would definitely do again when necessary.

SO IMPRESSED and GRATEFUL! I sent them my old and very loved Finn Comfort sandals for a refresh. Some of the heel strap stitching was frayed, the cushioning had fallen out from one and the velcro was plum worn out; overall, they looked beaten up and tired. But I loved them nonetheless, and continued to wear them around the house. When my beloved sandals arrived back from NuShoe I was honestly stunned - they looked nearly brand new! Great service from start to finish. This is my second resole for my Finn Comfort shoes. They look brand new, even though the shoes are almost ten years old. I love the customer service too, with friendly reminders and easy shipping. The only small issue was turn around time, but since I was not in a hurry to get the shoes back, it wasn't a problem.

I have invested heavily in Finn Comfort shoes and Birkenstocks. NuShoe does a fantastic job in revamping my shoes. They come back like brand new.
