The Woods started in 1985 as "Davlins - Fine Crafted Gifts of Wood" store in an old mattress factory on the Minneapolis waterfront, which had been turned into an upscale mall. Our selection included handcrafted furniture and decor from individual artists all over the United States. We became known in the Twin Cities for our natural wood jewelry boxes, fancy kaleidoscopes, and three-dimensional wooden cars and carvings.

Went here while my wife was getting a massage, to see what I could find for Xmas gifts. It's definitely sort of a MN-touristy joint with a warm atmosphere. Spent probably an hour or so there and found some jewelry, bloody Mary mix, hand towel with a nice saying, and a few other things.
They're obsessed with the European holiday gnomes which was a bit much, but cute.
The kid section has super soft stuffed animals that also have books that match up with them, which was cool.
Staff were quite attentive and friendly!
All in all it's a nice little place to spend an hour; I didn't find anything that

I went to the Woods looking for some fun ideas for bridal shower gifts. I had no idea what I was even looking for. What a wonderful shop. Linda was so friendly and helpful. The Woods is a fantastic place to explore. If you know what you're looking for the folks there can help you find it. If you just want to browse they will explain the store layout and give you all the space you want. They have the coolest things and the very nicest people. I've been there 4 times and I find something new every time I go.

Their fun dish towels (I know, dish towels!?) are my absolute fave! Fun, hilarious, and practical!

This place has a gift for everyone in it! I have ventured into the Woods a handful of times and you want to make sure you allow enough time to actually shop in here. So many things to look at and many ideas for your home or yard.
Cute store and you could spend a fortune in it! It's easy to do. We will be back when searching for a gift for an in law or coworker. Perfect and have fun while in there. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing. Warm cozy cabin feel just off of Hwy 94 for easy access, on the way to cabin country.
The Woods is a consummate gift and celebration shopping experience, with fun gifts in every category.

I don't shop at The Woods because I think I am going to get a great deal. I shop here because I know I'm going to find something unique, or at the very least less ubiquitous. That said, you can definitely find some bargains, too. There are a ton of awesome products here ranging in prices from relatively inexpensive to "[expletive] you" money. They also frequently send mailers that have coupons for $5 off of $30 or $10 off of $60 purchases.
I also like that they are well-staffed, especially so during the holidays. They are all quite friendly and will help you by taking items
