Electropolishing utilizes electrical current and chemicals in an electrolytic bath to remove burrs and produce a high luster finish. Precision sawing of aluminum is required in many markets such as Building and Construction, Automotive, Truck Trailer, Aerospace, Ordinance/Military, and most forging operations.

We expertly machine custom parts to your exact specification for a perfect fit every time. Chamfering is used primarily in the forging markets. Putting a chamfer on the ends of the forged rod can prevent stress cracks during the forging process. Mechanical polishing is used to smooth welds, prepare metal surfaces for electropolishing, or provide a surface with a specified roughness.

Everyone ensures quality, but do they back that up with action? At IMC, we are relentless in our pursuit for flawless work and 100% customer satisfaction. This vision is reflected in everything we do. IMC offers customized aluminum stocking programs to meet your individual needs. At IMC, we specialize in metal fabrication, mechanical polishing, and Electropolishing of stainless steel.
Electropolishing utilizes electrical current and chemicals in an electrolytic bath to remove burrs and produce a high luster finish. This process provides a stress-free polishing method that preserves the surface finish, improves the fatigue life of the part, removes contaminants, passivates, and creates a surface that retards corrosion.
Precision sawing of aluminum is required in many markets such as Building and Construction, Automotive, Truck Trailer, Aerospace, Ordinance/Military, and most forging operations. At IMC, we specialize in providing solutions to extruders and to original equipment manufacturers and ensuring the delivery of a precision cut part in an on time method, and at the most competitive price.
Mechanical polishing is the mechanical smoothing and removal of contaminates. This process is used to smooth welds, prepare metal surfaces for electropolishing, or provide a surface with a specified roughness. IMC can provide mechanical polishing on parts 36 wide and up to 20 ft long.

Mechanical polishing and buffing involves placing shapes on a computer controlled sliding bed, where the parts are automatically conveyed under a buffing wheel that is programmed for optimal speed and strokes to complete the required polishing.Virtually any metal can be polished to a high luster finish using this method.
Chamfering is used primarily in the forging markets. Putting a chamfer on the ends of the forged rod can prevent stress cracks during the forging process. IMC can chamfer rods from 2"- 8" in diameter. Our standard chamfer radius is.375, but can be adjusted as needed. Larger parts chamfering is performed manually with a grinding disc on a rotating turning center.
