The Garfield Condominium
We are one of the best places to live in the city, in Chevy Chase D.C., conveniently surrounded by urban amenities, quality schools, recreation, and shopping, yet in a quiet and green neighborhood with a great quality of life. This 9-floor building has 166 units and doctors' offices on the ground floor, with garage and outside parking, 24-hour concierge, roof deck, exercise room, and a community room.

The Garfield is a smoke-free and pet-free community.

I am a short-term renter. The building advertises as non-smoking, but there is a recurring issue of cigarette smoke on the fifth floor in common space of hallway near elevator and in nearby units. I was told after I signed my lease that this issue has gone on for years. There is no real way for the property manager or the condo board to enforce the building's smoking rule. Do not recommend buying or renting in this building, especially if sensitive to smoke.

Best condo in Chevy Chase DC! With off-street parking, community room, fitness room, and roof deck, it has all the mod cons one might need.

It's a very nice condominium apartments building, front desk guy is in place.
I love that they pets friendly (I was surprised that there is a lot of buildings in DC that don't allowed pets - DC is a very pet friendly..)

Because it's a condominium apartments each apt looks different then others..

Location wise - it's great!

But it's definitely on my top ten list... :)

We lived in the Garfield for five years, and, honestly, it's one of DC's best kept secrets. The staff is unbelievably nice, kind, and warm - you won't get in or out of the front door without someone genuinely wishing you a nice day. And the kindness spills over to many of the building's inhabitants who chat in the elevator or in the laundry room. The new manager (Crystal) is organized, dedicated, and efficient. Ever since she took over, the building has enjoyed a series of upgrades that have made it a more pleasant place to live - new carpeting, new lighting, a new roof deck

Great area that's nice and quiet. Close enough walk to the Metro (~15 minutes from door to platform). On Connecticut Ave which is the best way out of DC from here. Great stuff. The people who work here are amazing. Very nice and will help you out a lot. Front door man, small roofdeck, and a garage are all a part of it too. Considering the fees are relatively small. Again, wonderful place to live.
