Since its start in 1902, Cattermole Funeral Home continues to be family owned and operated. Helping people during one of the most difficult times is a challenge our family has answered for four generations. Now, as then, we continue to provide quality care at reasonable prices. Thankfully, we are not a part of a large funeral home corporation.
We are not controlled or managed by a remote and distant investment group, which means we can care for your family like our own. We answer to you, our community, and are committed to this town, which is our mutual home. Because we care. If you have questions or need information, please call us at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Services
Cattermole Funeral Home was founded in 1902 by Robert Cattermole, a Civil War vertaran as well as a wood craftsman, cabinetmaker and sawmill owner. His son Leland became his partner and the second generation to own and operate the funeral home. Leland's daughter, Anna Mae Millman attended mortuary school during WWII and became the third generation owner when Leland retired in 1957.
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation. You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the goods and services you selected.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

I am beyond words with this place.... I layed my mom to rest from COVID this last year and we chose cattermole because the Mr that originally owned it was a family friend. Long story short to the end right after I laid mom to rest I see and hear the owner has his daughters baby daddy working at the place who the biggest thief druggy to walk the earth with the last name of POOLE... So now I have to spend the rest of my life wondering if my mom still has her jewelry and mentos she WAS suppose to leave with ...I'm gonna say use someone else after seeing his daughters choice of characters because it

These people took 10 months and several excuses later to get my father in laws headstone on his gravesite. It was almost like they were holding it random for the last bit of money, and this is after 9,000 was paid. Do not use them, they are car salesmen of funeral homes. They try to talk you into the most expensive services then demand money to see any results. From someone who has lost both parents and used another funeral home, they worked with me and money was never an issue. Cattermole should be ashamed of themselves for making a tragic loss even harder on a grieving family.

This funeral home is nasty, no ethics. THE OWNER shook My brothers hand and assured him he would call the military and turn his ashes over for his military funeral. HE LIED! My brother made his own funeral arrangements (since his wife couldnt be trusted) and these people didnt honor my brothers wishes. It took me 5 months of hassels and legal action threats to have my brothers ashes turned over to the Willamette National Cemetary. Please people respect your family and DO NOT use Cattermole for your loved ones.

Jeff is one of the best guys! He's very kind and makes sure you are happy with everything. I have had services there as far back as my grandmother in 95' and the most recents, my mom in 2012 & my uncle Johnny 4/26/14 who was his caretaker for so many years. Jeff is easy to talk to and makes sure you are comfortable with the outcome of your needs. Thank you, Jeff and staff.

When my husband, Eldon Allen, passed away. Cattermole walked me and my husband's family through the entire process. Jeff was able to complete the necessary paperwork for my husband to have his well deserved military flag, and had the veterans from the VFW Centralia chapter do the 21 gun salute. Cattermole was very professional, and did not hesitate to listen what we wanted for my husband, and the items he wanted to buried with. Thank you for being so comforting during our family's mourning.

I am a local business owner and have interacted with Jeff at the funeral home many times and he and his staff have always been professional and compassionate. I also used him to arrange transportation for my own father to Idaho and that was a very positive experience. Thank you for being there I really appreciate you.
