Founded in 1987, Trionetics builds highly automated but simple-to-use industrial water purification, wastewater treatment/recycling equipment, and plating lines. We serve the electronics, printed circuit board, automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, canning, metal-finishing, mining, and many other industries.
With the wide variety of clients, long history, and custom product development over hundreds of clients, we have the experience and know-how to reach any water treament goal. Reverse Osmosis (RO) are semi-permeable Polymeric or inorganic membranes that allow sieving down to the molecular level. The openings in these membranes (pores) are so small that significant pressure is required to drive fluid through them.

Concentrate - Contaminants filtered from the influent stream and carried away from the membrane. Semi-permeable Polymeric or inorganic membranes allow sieving down to the molecular level. The openings in these membranes (pores) are so small that significant pressure is required to drive fluid through them.
Suspended solids, Chlorine, and Organics present in influent water are very harmful to downstream apparatus. They reduce the efficiency of ion-exchange beds and RO membranes. For reducing the level of turbidity (suspended solids) in the water, loose media such as pressure vessels with sand are used.
Water Softening is the use of Cation Exchange Resins to remove hardness from your incoming water. This is a pretreatment technology used to help protect upstream equipment from scaling. A brine tank is supplied and Sodium (salt) is used to regenerate the resin Simliar to our other equipment, our softening systems are built on a stainless steel frame and can have the columns on or off frame.
Ion Exchange systems are deceptively simple - all the hard work occurs at the molecular level in the resin. Water to be treated is run through the resin and emerges with barely measurable amounts of contaminant. Economics dictates what happens after this. For these metals, the cost of the Ion Exchange resin is signifigant in comparison to the metal being recovered.
