I started out in the dental field as a dental assistant. I fell in love with the dental office and knew I wanted to stay. As time went on, I advanced as far as I could in my dental assisting career by becoming a registered dental assistant. My son, Troy, had been present during many of my dental assisting duties, and when he entered college he decided to be a dentist.

Very pleased with friendliness and professionalism of dentist and staff. My first visit there, but hygienist explained what she was doing gave me a choice of using the manual cleaning tools or the hydro one and explained about not using it on crowns as it tends to leave scratches. Dentist was thorough and very down to earth. Am going to have additional work done and possibly some cosmetic work, as well. It is much more reasonable here than FL where I am moving!

I have very BAD anxiety & panic attacks with going to the dentist and I got overwhelmed a couple times while there and started crying and Susan was so compassionate about how I felt and hugged me and got me calmed down before I ever reached panic thank goodness! First time I've ever been here and first time I've ever met any of them! They all were just so sweet to me and never made me feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or ashamed about getting upset in front them. I enjoyed my last visit there, despite discomfort I was experiencing which brought me in for the visit.
The Staff are very Professional , Pleasant and Positive. Which creates a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in.
Mrs. Vanstone herself is an Model Citizen of this Community. She is not only an Exceptional Dentist, She is all around Amazing. Visit Great Grins Dentistry!!

Im gonna start off by saying she is very nice. With that being said i would not go here. I went a couple of times to get fillings done and when she did the filling for my front tooth she didnt do a good job an my order whole front tooth ended up breaking off all the way to the freaking gum. And every single filling she has done has come out. Now i got a missing front tooth, a quarter of another tooth is missing an holes in my teeth where my fillings have come out. I have never in my life had that happen before. I think she rushed too fast to get it done, cuz normally at the dentist its takes a

They are very friendly..they will work with u and they will make sure your happy after you leave. Sometimes the lab people make mistakes by making wrong crowns. But dr Susan will fix it. Every time i come in i smile because i see her smiling and dancing..she's super sweet. U will love her i promise you. She will take care of you. Just like she took care of me. T R U S T HER. She's the best dentist i ever seen. Try her and u will say that your glad you came in. :)

Genuinely one of the best places I've ever been for medical care!! I've always been terrified of going to the dentist, and I was especially so after not being able to go for several years, but everyone here made me so comfortable!!!!!! I never felt shamed or anything for not being able to go before now, and Dr. Vanstone was SO professional while being so friendly, it feels like I've known her forever!! Cannot recommend this place enough, they really make you feel at home and like one of the gang while also providing EXCEPTIONAL service!!!

My experience with Great Grins Dentistry occurred during a business trip. I had a dental emergency. Called several dental offices around Richmond. Great Grins was able to see me and happy to attend to my dental needs. From the initial phone call to the time I left.. the experience was warm, caring and professional. Amazing people. First time meeting and they made me feel like I was part of their family. Richmond is lucky to have such a great dentistry in their city.
