Services
Colorado Injury and Pain Specialists' mission is to help our clients regain, improve, and maintain their full potential in living their day-to-day life through therapy services provided by expert and licensed professionals. Each brings a unique knowledge of procedural techniques, pharmacology, and physiology to provide the interventional pain management program appropriate for each patient.
Pain management physicians offer many modalities to accommodate your individual plan of care. Interventional therapies for acute and chronic pain conditions as part of the comprehensive treatment program are most common. Many interventional pain procedures are available on an outpatient basis, which is vital to ensuring cost-effective access to care.
When treatments such as physical therapy and oral medication are incapable of helping manage a patient's pain effectively, an injection or minimally invasive procedure may be necessary to help provide an adequate level of pain relief. Often, these treatments are used in conjunction with other pain management modalities to provide maximum relief for the longest period of time.
Patients usually think of pain as being physical, the result of injury or physical deterioration. Often the pain is actually a manifestation of a psychological issue, and attempts to manage the pain with traditional treatments are ineffective. In addition, chronic pain patients can also suffer psychological trauma in conjunction with their physical pain.

This place is not only a waste of time they don’t even do there jobs. After my initial visit I had to call them 6 times just to send my mri order. Now that I had my mri a week ago no one has even tried to reach me to discuss my results. After I reached out to them they told me all the doctors were out for a week and maybe they could make me an appointment after that. THEY DONT return phone calls, THEY DONT follow up. THEY DONT care. Being in pain makes life hard enough. This place is supposed to make your life more manageable not less. Find someone else.

I have had so many different procedures done to get relief for my back pain. Finally had the SCS implant trial and had 90-95% relief. I swear by the implant for pain relief. I also want to give a huge shout out and thank you to Dr. James for caring enough to keep trying and finally finding something to give me relief.

Dear doctor Mccoy you know how you told me I didn't have Ankylosing spondylitis because you had one other patient with it and even if I did you said I wouldn't start a biologic... I like you to know you were completely wrong I have ankylosing spondylitis and it's so bad I have to start a biologic as soon as possible. Everytime I saw you you made me feel completely hopeless. I went and saw another pain specialist they didn't understand why you even attempted to do steroid shots in my Si joint because I have fluid and arthritis and it's fusing together. The new dr said you put me through all that

In 2018 I injured my lower back which required surgery. Since then I have suffered from pain in my left leg, left hip and lower back. I have seen several surgeons and several doctors with out any resolution. I was referred to Colorado Injury and Pain Specialists in 2019 and they have changed my life! I've been going to see these folks for a variety of reasons for over a year now. Amy and her crew in physical therapy have helped me through pulled muscles, muscle cramps, tendonitis, and headaches. Every single thing I've gone for treatment has been fixed or alleviated beginning with the first treatment. I've just started seeing Dr. McCoy and with the very first treatment my pain levels are night and day better than before seeing her. I even trialed Myers Cocktail vitamin treatment from their fledgling Vitality unit. That was a positive experience and one which I will take advantage of again.
