When you suffer from pain, it rules your life. In addition to being a source of constant worry, it can be quite debilitating, keeping people from the activities they enjoy most. Pain can make simple tasks like lifting groceries or playing with children and grandchildren difficult. It can interfere with sleep, productive work, and personal relationships.

Pain can also lead to anxiety and depression. For advanced non-narcotic, nonsurgical and minimally-invasive care that can relieve pain and get your patient back to an active life, Western Rockies Interventional Pain Specialists can help. Here, Kenneth C. Lewis, MD and Kyle R. Christopherson, MD, offer lasting solutions to pain based on many years of experience.
Services
He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Chemistry and Zoology from Northern Arizona University in 1986. While working on a master's degree in neurophysiology at Northern Arizona University he was accepted to medical school and finished his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1990.
Some of the most common types of pain that people experience are often abdominal and pelvic pain. Due to the fact that this area is where your back and spine meet your hips and lower body, it can easily become a place that stores a lot of pressure. In some cases, this can be easily treated, but in other cases, this can cause more acute issues that can lead to further injury.
Back pain is a very common problem. There are many different causes of back pain, and sometimes, there is no cause at all. Here at Western Rockies Interventional Pain Specialists, we focus on treating back pain based on a combination of symptoms and diagnostic imaging results. Dr. Lewis and Dr. Christopherson use diagnostic imaging for reference, however; they base most of their clinical decision making on the patient's description of the pain.
Hip pain is more common in seniors, but can affect anyone. It can occur for many reasons, from being overweight to having a medical condition or injury. Chronic hip pain can be debilitating, leading to a lower quality of life. Our pain management doctors at Western Rockies Interventional Pain Specialists can help!
Spinal cord stimulators are implanted to treat a localized area of pain by treating specific pain fibers within the spinal cord. The stimulator interrupts the pain signals before they reach the brain and are perceived as pain. Some examples of conditions typically treated with spinal cord stimulation include, but are not limited to: phantom limb pain, failed-back surgery syndrome, and complex regional pain syndrome.

Dr. Lewis developed a strategic plan for my injection therapy and performed the injection in a highly competent manner. He and his staff, including his nurse practitioner, Laramie, were sympathetic and understanding. They thoroughly explained the treatment plan and answered each of my questions.

Will not recommend going here. The nurse practitioner was the only kind person. After receiving my first nerve block, I had pain during procedure and ended up making my pain worst 10/10 pain I've ever felt. Before procedure I was walking (albeit in quite a bit of pain), after I was on crutches and could hardly stand. Called multiple times explaining how bad it was and they ignored me the first time and told me to go elsewhere. They ignored my concerns during the procedure when the pain started and shooed me out after 10 minutes even though I was in more pain then when I arrived. Had to go to the
