New England Rendokan has been amazing for both of my children. We have been coming here for 13 years. It has been great for self defense, confidence, and fitness. I have watched many types of students learn here. Sensei is an amazing educator who customizes teaching for each student. He takes the time to really get to know students and works with them to maximize their own potential.

My son Ryan has been going to martial arts training at New England Rendokan for almost 3 years now. I have noticed a difference in his focus, attitude and determination to complete projects. He enjoys this training and looks forward to going every week and in the past year has started a black belt program. My sincerest thank you to Sensei Darrell and sensei Sam for their past and continuing training for my son. I highly recommend this training for anyone. Please give them a call.

I originally tried out this dojo on a 2 month Groupon, now I’m hooked! This Dojo is perfect for beginners of any age (and I imagine for experienced people as well, but I’m not there yet). The Sensai is very knowledgeable and is a nice balance of kind and stern, and the classmates are helpful and patient to ‘newbies’ such as myself. So far, I feel I’ve really gained a lot from the classes. Not only is it exercise of the body, but of the mind as well. Not only do I learn self defense, but I learn life lessons and insight, all things I can apply to my everyday life from here on out. The

Two of my children attend this school. My daughter was one of his first students at the Rocky Hill location. We have been attending classes there for roughly 5 years. The owner Darryl is the primary instructor and he is excellent! His daughter whom is a black belt often helps with the classes and she too is excellent at teaching the skills needed. Darryl is perhaps not only a karate instructor but also a positive role model for kids as he always stresses the importance of why it is good to learn karate, when to use it, when not to and of course he has the kids participating in these conversations
