Terrible customer service. They called me back saying that they can’t hear me well. I asked if we can schedule call for Monday since I was driving. The person who called was informed that I am a customer who is looking for solar panels for my hous, however he said very rudely that he thinks that I should look for other solar company. This company is a complete scam!!!! Stay away!!!!!!

Really disapponted with Hot Purple Energy (HPE). We got quotes from Renova and Hot Purple Energy. They were about the same price, but we liked the saleperson and the idea of going with a smaller company, so we chose to have HPE do the solar install.
The sales person was responsive and they worked well juggling the roofer's timeline with theirs. It wasn't until the solar was installed that we began to become disillusioned with their product. I called them to find out what was wrong with the app, it was only showing energy production, not usage or net consumption. It took 2 phone calls, 2 emails

Joshua was so very helpful and generous with his time and expertise. He came to the house fully prepared and explained a very detailed system, tailored to our home and current energy consumption. He listened to what we wanted and why and gave us exactly that. Hot Purple has a reputation for being excellent at what they do while being straight forward and honest. They certainly lived up that. Very easy to recommend them. Keep doing what you do guys. It's been a pleasure.

Every single person. I mean EVERY SINGLE person went out of their way to work around my schedule, to make things easier on me, to respect the dogs, clean up and around the house when the project was done, and to train me on what to do if something happens. The attention to detail is just unheard of, yet you and your team seem to have figured the system out to perfection. Literally, HPE is my example of perfect customer service and will be for all years to come.

Hot Purple Energy really did a fabulous job!!!! I have just had my installation completed in Palm Desert on my manufactured home. Wow, I couldn't be happier!!!
A special thanks to Chad and Rueben and all of the other employees and contractors who were part of a seamless flow. They kept me informed of all of the many steps necessary to have a solar array on the roof and a battery backup on the ground.

When we bought our house here in Palm Springs last Summer, we knew little about local reputable vendors. We talked to some of our neighbors and they all said Hot Purple Energy was one of the top solar companies in the area, and two of them already had HPE installations on their homes.
Carolyn came over to do an introduction & site inspection and we were quickly sold. Solar installation & syncing with SCE is a complicated process, and Carolyn, Reuben and their team walked us through each step.

We chose Hot Purple Energy over Renova for one main reason. They were about the same price, and both have excellent reputations. Hot Purple immediately grasped how important the aesthetics of the installation was to us. We have a Donald Wexler home with an intricate roof featuring multiple outriggers. Hot Purple went to great lengths to design the panels and the Tesla battery so that they were hidden from view front AND back. Renova seemed to want to get as many panels on the roof as they could with little attention to the design. We had some issues along the way (namely the Tesla battery was delayed

I know there are a lot of good reviews by customers right after they had their solar systems installed by Hot Purple Energy. I also could have been one of those review writers in the beginning as well. However, the true test of a product of this magnitude is how does it perform down the line. In early 2019 we contracted with Hot Purple Energy to install a solar panel system on our home with a Solar Edge Inverter. In the 21 months that the system has been in we have had the Solar Edge Inverter go out twice (once at the 8 month mark in August 2019) and then the second one went out just over a year

Analyzed my proposal and believed no savings will be realized. Showed analysis to rep that most people will not save and asked for him to re check. Asked for feedback more than once. Rep went silent. Makes me wonder if commercials are misleading???I appreciate the response. The truth is your firm went silent on me. Putting this in my court is not correct. I have moved on at this time.

We first called Hot Purple Energy to have our inverter looked at. The tech was knowledgeable, efficient, and our problem was solved right away.
We then reached out to Reuben, the sales manager. We were inquiring about adding panels to our existing system. He was so kind, patient, thorough, and honest. He clearly communicated information to us which we were able to understand. There was never any pressure. We highly recommend Hot Purple Energy!

Hot Purple Energy is off the charts in the field of excellence in solar energy. We were so grateful our Palm Desert Kitchen Contractor encouraged us not to use any other solar company's service. We lost count of how many times we asked them to meet with us before and after complete installation of the top of the line system! We are so ecstatic that we had it fully operational in time for the quarantine. If you have to stay home, you want to stay cool!

We talked to a lot of solar companies, but Hot Purple's customer service and follow up blew the competition out of the water. From what we had already read, they were highly rated and were already the buzz of our local neighborhood community. Their customer service reps were great, easy going and very informative. Their installers did a fantastic job - we didn't have to lift a finger. Our electricity production even exceeded their estimates. Two years later, we still feel like we're part of the Hot Purple family - they're attention to our needs and customer service rocks!

I had the honor of speaking with Rubin at Hot Purple Energy about installing solar energy to my house. In the process of reviewing my situation over the phone I mentioned that we have two discounts from SCE that account for about 40% savings yet my bill is still around $320 per month. Rubin did the math with me and explained that due to these two discounts from SCE no one can beat the savings so solar is not the answer for us. I could not believe his honesty and his coaching me to check our insulation and pool pump to secure even more
