We are proud to celebrate over 25 years of providing high-quality, safe, loving child care in an exciting learning environment to our community. Cotton Mill's exclusive curriculum provides a variety of practical life, cultural, and nature-based experiences, as well as age-appropriate academics. We are fully licensed to provide care for children from 18 months through 12 years of age.
All Cotton Mill staff members are early childhood professionals who are First Aid and CPR certified and meet or exceed the continuing education requirements each year in Early Childhood Development and Education. To serve our community during this difficult time, we are opening a Remote Learning Classroom to provide a space for students whose parents cannot stay home during the school's online learning time.

Services
Mrs. Fincher has provided quality developmental education and care to children since 1976 in a variety of settings including home-based child care, private pre-kindergarten, classroom teaching, and development of curriculum for both small and large private centers. Before establishing Cotton Mill, she served as the educational director for a large private school in Mesquite.
Our curriculum emphasizes playful learning driven by children's interests and based on sound, age-appropriate practices. A typical day includes rich opportunities for pretend play, music, art, science, reading, and math activities. Our welcoming environment encourages development of meaningful and engaging relationships with other children and teachers.

Let me just start by saying that I heard 2 teachers talking about 2 teachers being exposed to Covid-19 and a kid tested positive and 2 classes were also exposed to it and the owner apparently didn’t report it because he was trying to stay open. Yes, I was an employee up there for a while and I was expected to come in as I am not feeling well and not knowing what’s going on at the moment and not wanting to expose a teacher or child to anything I’ve been calling out and calling out today they terminated my employment.. I’ve told my mother and other people about this and their response is

Great Daycare / Learning center! All 3 of my kids went there from the time they were 18 months old. The owners and desk staff are always smiling and excited to see your child arrive. Teachers have always seemed to be great. My oldest is now 20 in college, middle child going into HS and my youngest is 4 years old and presently enrolled there. Have never had a issue with this place since enrolling my first child here in 2001.

Horrible management of this preschool. As a former teacher there I adored the kids, but when an issue arises the response that you get from the owners is “I’m not going to do anything about it you deal with it & that is the reason you get paid.” When you ask your “boss” for help you get a sarcastic response or they walk away from you. Not a good work or school environment. It starts out a good environment and randomly goes downhill. So upsetting because in the beginning it was wonderful. Now I can’t say it was wonderful at all. The owners also get mad at you for detailed communication

My son attended this daycare for about 9 months. He and I were happy with the teacher Ms. Audrey and upon meeting other staff they are ok people. However, my son started coming home with bruises and black and blue. turns out one of his classmates was bullying him. to make a long story short i went to mr. fincher the owner to confront the issue and let me tell you..i got the meeting on tape!!! they were not documenting the incidents. when confronted with his inability to deal with a four year old bully he then turned it around that my son was to blame by seeking out friendships with the bully. when

This was for me a great place until something happened with one of my daughters teacher 3 weeks ago. It seems that the teacher screamed at my daughter and my daughter was so dramatize by it that as soon as my husband picked her up she started crying and couldn't stop. The only thing she was saying is that the teacher was screaming at her. No one were able to give me an explanation of what happened, not even the teacher. Later I find out from another parent that the teacher had mental issues. Really!!! How do you will be in charge of a group of kids if you can not control yourself. I immediately

My daughter has been going to CMLC for almost a year now. She went to home daycare before and I felt like she was very smart but wasn't learning anything new. I wanted her to be more prepared for Kindergarten, which she will start this fall as one of the youngest students. So I enrolled her into the Pre-K program. All of the teachers and staff know each of the children by name and greet her coming in in the morning and leaving in the evening. They feel like family there. In the 8 months she has been at Cotton Mill she has learned all of the letters and the sounds they make, knows the vowels, all
