Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) is blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. As a concentrated source of autologous platelets, platelet rich plasma contains and releases through degranulation several different growth factors and other cytokines that stimulate the healing of bone and soft tissue.
Intrathecal pain pump delivery is a proven, safe, and effective therapy for managing chronic pain. Unlike oral medications that must circulate throughout the bloodstream, an intrathecal pain pump system delivery releases medication directly into the fluid surrounding your spinal cord, which may lead to fewer or more tolerable drug side effects.
If a drug pump is an option for you, your doctor will work with you to select the pain treatment system that is most appropriate for your needs. Here are some frequently asked about intrathecal pump questions. If you have any other questions regarding an intrathecal pump please discuss them with your doctor.
What are Dermatomes? A dermatome is an area of skin in which sensory nerves derive from a single nerve root. The body is divided into specific regions called dermatomes. A dermatome refers to the part of the embryonic somite. The spinal cord is broken up into 31 dermatome segments. Each segment has a pair (left and right) of ventral (frontal) and dorsal (posterior) nerve roots; which relays motor and sensory nerve sensations, including pain.

It was due to terrific pain caused by a pinched or pressed S1 nerve and periformis all at the same time which brought me to see Dr Castillo after a few visits and spinal shots I was able to walk and move around a bit more. Dr Castillo was able to get me in for a visit where no one else could due to the year ending and everyone trying to get an appointment to meet deductibles. I a cas paying patient since my current insurance was not accepted there. What a great experience-very diligent office with Covid conceous cleaning procedures and I would really like to see Dr Castillo again

The five minutes I had with Dr Castillo were some of the best I’ve ever had with a doctor. Dr Castillo is terrific. He can calm me no matter how much pain I’m in.
Go to him. He cares and is competent. I’m dead serious if he tries to retire before I’m healed, I’ll be in big trouble. I’d have given him five stars but there’s no candy at the front desk.
I love Dr Castillo. Send your name and you’ll give him 5 stars every visit. He’s originally from Sicily and has two big friends in silk suits that make home visits.

I had my initial consult with Dr Castillo yesterday after finding out I had some serious issues with my spine. Dr Castillo and his entire staff are wonderful!!! They thoroughly explain things, communicate quickly, take of the things that need addressed (i.e. paperwork, prescriptions, forms, etc.), and are friendly and courteous. :-) Dr. Castillo took the time to go over my results and explain them until he could see that I acknowledged that I was in complete understanding of what needed to be done to make me start feeling better. I am a bodybuilder and want to get back to my training and I know

Dr Castillo is a brilliant doctor, with an amazing "bedside" manner. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and possesses great empathy for his patients. He speaks "normal" language, explaining things in a way to be easily understandable and relatable. His staff is second to none. It is rare that you find an doctor's office that has such great communication, empathy, and knowledge all in one spot. Highly highly highly recommend!

Office staff is very patient and friendly. Flexible scheduling and they are on top of everything from scheduling next appointments to detailed instructions. I truly felt like I walked in and they just took care of everything without having to ask which is such a rarity. You can tell this team really jives well together and it must be a good place to work because it shows in their day to day dealings with people coming to them in pain. The doctor is very nice, thorough and takes time to make sure he understands what's going on and you understand treatment plan. No question was left unanswered

Approximately 3 weeks ago I called his office and spoke to a women about this doctor. I explained that I have tremendous pain from rheumatoid arthritis and relapsing polychondritis. I have been previously to busy pain clinic that all they were concerned in doing was epidurals, blocks and procedures like this because it's their money maker. Horrendous wait times at every visit. Being very sick and disabled this didn't work for me. So, when I spoke with Dr. Castillo's office i said I'm interested in a doctor who will help me with my unique situation rather than high priced money

I have been to pain MD's in the past prior to both of my back surgeries. I didn't have bad experiences, but just felt like a number and never got any real relief. Nor did I feel like they cared either way.
Dr. Michael Castillo has seriously changed my life. I'm an RN and know the system and process. He truly CARES and didn't stop until he found the multiple sources of pain I was experiencing. I'm 41 and was using a cane to get out of bed every day. I thoutht for sure I was headed for surgery #3. After a few months with Dr. Castillo I'm riding a bike every day! I&apos

My sister is a RN and works with Dr. Castillo at a Phoenix area surgery center. She regards Dr. Castillo and his staff very highly and recommended seeing him for my complex and severe TMJ issues/pain as I was exhausting my options locally. Despite living in Seattle at the time, I made an appointment and am very happy I did. Dr. Castillo is incredible. He listened to me, respected my concerns, answered all of my questions and provided solutions no other medical professional had in 10+ years and multiple states. He set clear expectations, even when the outcome was a bit uncertain, and put together

I have been seeing this dr for 12 years now. Dr. Castillo gave me the gift of being able to walk again with little to no pain. Dr Castillo and his staff are very professional. The best thing about him is that he is compassionate. He understands what his patients are going through which in my opinion makes him a better person and doctor.

After dealing with a great deal of pain on my left nalga (Buttock) and lower left leg, I finally decided to see a Pain Management Specialist. I checked the site of my insurance to see the list of Doctors and was happy to see that Dr. Castillo wasn't too far away from me.
Dr. Castillo has helped minimize a great deal of my pain. I had an MRI last week and he explained my situation in a way that I completely understood. I sense continued progress with the help of Dr. Castillo. His whole staff are incredible! Give him a try if you are in need of a Pain Management Specialist. Cheers***

Dr. Castillo has saved my life not once but twice - once in 2009 and again this year. He has brought me back from the abyss of misery and pain from degenerative disc disease in my neck and has made my life worth living again. He is kind, caring, patient, and spends as much time with you as you need to understand your condition and his prognosis. I have met very few people, let alone doctors, who have made me feel as comfortable and unintimidated as Dr. Castillo. His staff is wonderful. They fun and upbeat and go to great lengths to get you the treatment you need. And they do this while working

Dr. Castillo has changed my life and has been my trusted Doctor for over ten years now. Words cannot describe how well he does his job. I have had two low back surgeries and he has advised me not to have any more surgeries due to the fact that I am now having problems with Scar Tissue. He is a master of his trade and actually will sit down and listen to you and spend time with you unlike a lot of other doctors I have seen. I am still athletic and have a much greater quality of life due to Doctor Castillo's treatments.... He studies your condition and understands exactly what is needed

I can't rate this wonderful, caring Doctor highly enough. He has changed my life. He is smart and determined, but certainly no pushover. His goal is to fix you as best a Dr. can, and he will drag you kicking and screaming to where you need to be, not where you think you should be. (If you're a pill seeker don't even bother. If he doesn't see through you in five seconds it's because his highly trained and professional office staff already did.) This place is amazing for those who truly want to get better. Thanks Dr C.!
