Excision will explain to you why the skin lesion needs excision and the procedure involved. You may have to sign a consent form to indicate that you understand and agree to the surgical procedure. Tell your doctor if you are taking any medication (particularly aspirin, clopidogrel, dabigatran and warfarin, which could make you bleed more), or if you have any allergies, medical conditions, or a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator.
Skin exams are a visual inspection of the entire body for suspicious growth moles or lesions. Its recommended to have a skin exam every year, especially if you have a family history of skin cancer, a personal history of skin cancer, or have suspicious moles or skin lesions. It is not uncommon for an early skin cancer to be dismissed as a stubborn acne bump or even go unnoticed because obvious symptoms are often absent.

Patient portal takes time to fill out. Asks a few questions that didn't pertain to a dermatologist office. Waited an hour and a half in waiting room. Finally left without being seen. Patients who arrived before us were still waiting in the waiting area when we left. One other patient left before us. Would not recommend this practice.

Don't waste your time here. It's very non professional, the receptionist was very rude! I was treated as if I were just a number.
The dermatologist saw me for less than 8 minutes, she just said I had roceasea. She said "don't waste your money on topicals, the only thing that would work was lazer light therapy."
Now, three weeks later after (using topical sulphur rocesea medicine) my condition is 50% better. The dermatologist didn't even tell me what stage I had, when I went there my entire face was reddish purple. I left feeling very disappointed. This was the worst experience that I've ever

My one hour appointment was for a head to toe skin evaluation. I was very disappointed with the examination. When the examination was over I realized my scalp, underwear area, hands, and feet were not examined. I actually had to call the examiner back into the exam room to examine my scalp. Fifteen minutes after my “one hour” appointment began I was walking out the front door. The exam was rushed and incomplete. I left with little confidence I had a received a complete and comprehensive skin exam. I do not recommend this practice.

The staff here seem extremely reluctant to answer any of my questions. Called for a quote, and was immediately asked to call a completely different group of people. I asked what their relationship to the company was since it should be really easy to answer a simple question about a medical procedure, and she got confused as to why I was asking but told me it's their Billing department, took several questions to find out even the smallest amount of info about them. Called them up, spoke with a lady who was nice and said the operation would be over $200. To freeze off a tiny wart on my finger, $200

Paragon Dermatology is where you want to go for your skin's health! They can, literally, save your life with the meticulous care they give. They have diagnosed a cancer and a pre-cancerous lesion on my skin. The treatment was timely and appropriate. I am very appreciative to the providers and the ancillary staff.

As this was my first visit to a dermatologist, and my first total body scan, I wondered how uncomfortable I would feel. The staff at Paragon was very attentive and professional, and David treated me with utmost respect, gentleness and kindness. Removal of a suspicious area on my back was accomplished painlessly, and my recovery has been comfortable. I also truly appreciated David’s concerns and suggestions for my overall skin care in the future. Thank you, Paragon Dermatology! I highly recommend your services and look forward to my appointment next year.

I've only had a few visits which have been with the PA, David. I have found him and the other staff to be very professional, competent and efficient. I have been seen fairly quickly to my scheduled time-within 10 minutes (my last Dermatologist in CA often had up to an hour late on most appointments!!). David and his assistant work well together and he is very personable in addition to being knowledgeable. I just had a section taken for biopsy and expected to hear of the results in 10 days, but he personally called to inform me of the results and of the upcoming call I would receive to schedule

I had a wonderful experience when I had my first appt. this week. The waiting area is beautifully and thoughtfully arranged. Receptionist was very patient and kind as I fumbled through my purse looking for the right cards. The MA was a delight as was the PA. I found everyone to be professional and also relaxed-----a combination that I find to be very patient oriented. I actually had fun on a doctor visit. I'll be back.
