Born in 300 BC Maharishi Charaka was one of the principal contributors to the ancient art and science of Ayurveda, a system of medicine and lifestyle developed in Ancient India. Maharishi Charaka has been crowned as the "Father of Medicine". Maharishi Sushruta was a physician in ancient INDIA known today as the "Father of Plastic Surgery" for inventing and developing surgical procedures.
The word "Ayurveda" refers to the wisdom of the ancient Indian culture and religion, and the underlying concept of this holistic approach is a reorientation of your body. Heena is great at what she does there is something about being greeted with a warm smile and a humble spirit that makes a huge difference. She is one of the reasons for this 5 star review. Doctor Heena is very attentive. She listens and follow up thoroughly to make sure her patient get the results. She is willing to answer questions and stay posted on patient concerns. She is willing to answer questions and very honest with her evaluation. I got positive results within less than 2 weeks. Joint pain from swimming and surfing brought me to try this modality, at first I was skeptical however within a couple weeks I started seeing results. Swelling has reduced significantly and soreness is completely gone. My range of motion has improved and I can surf again without hesitation. Dr. Heena runs such a special and important Ayurvedic health practice in OC! I had a protein growth in my eye known as Pinguecula (usually caused by severe dryness) and my ophthalmologist was suggesting eye surgery to remove it. Instead, I got an Ayurvedic treatment from Dr. Heena known as Natra Tarpana (aka Golden Light Treatment). Remarkably the Pinguecula healed without any surgery!!!
When I went back to my eye doctor to show her my eye, she was in disbelief. Ever since then I have become a strong believer of Ayurveda!!
