I had a wax done and I broke out in hives and I'm not sure why. I'm not allergic to honey at all, which is the type of wax they use. It's a soft honey wax she said. So it made me very uncomfortable and very itchy as I tried to drive home. I took an allergy medicine which seemed to help about 1 hour later. The lady also gave me an ice pack as I requested for it to see if numbing the area will help not be so itchy.

Went to the Dunning studio for a Brazilian and Mystique did an amazing job! The ambiance was great, super clean, amazing conversation and thoroughly removed every hair with in 15 minutes! This is the best place to go for a wax!

Chandra is AMAZING!!!!! I'm new to Chicago and happened to find her in a deep google dive, and I'm so glad I did. She's super friendly, COVID safe, and efficient! Quickest and least painful wax I've ever had- I cannot recommend her enough

I've been going to Chandra's studio at Damen for years. I moved recently and was super happy that the Dunning location was close. Have always had great experiences at both studios. Highly recommend.

I’ve seen Cari before and she’s amazing! But this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Nwar! Overall the workers are great every timed I’ve been helped it was good. Just only thing I wished was that they would offer face masks if it was a requirement. As someone who works at a bank and understands that it’s needed to keep everyone safe, I would love if they provided them. Even though in IL it is not required any more if your vaccinated. They wouldn’t accept my vaccination card as a reason I’m not masked. I mainly got the vaccine to avoid this issue. I also found they only accept

Place is nice and cozy. Person who performed services was way too fast for me though. If you wanted an in and out she will be the person to go to. However, I wish she could of taken her time especially since a Brazilian wax is performed in a very sensitive area. When I got home I noticed she still left some hair in certain area which I wasn't too happy about it but it is what it is couldn't beat the price.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. The place was clean, the lady Mystique was nice enough. She just didn’t seem all that experienced. I was supposed to be getting a Brazilian Wax which usually for me lasts about 15-20 mins tops. Well, this time I lay there on the table until my legs actually went numb. Exactly 45 mins later she still wasn’t finished. I asked her to just stop because the pain just became too much to bear after she went over the same area multiple times. I have been seeing Chandra for over a year now and absolutely LOVE the business that she has created. She puts all of her focus and care into each service and the quality is always exceptional! Her space is very clean, inviting and relaxing. The studio on Damen creates a very private and personal experience with one person at a time, which is so unique! Chandra's warm, positive personality and hospitality make me look forward to every visit.

This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. Monee was very friendly and informative. She made sure I was comfortable and was very efficient. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. My appointment started on time with no delays. I will definitely be coming back again.

Atmosphere was nice and so was Monee. I was running late due to some car issues however I was still able to make my appointment. Monee’s inexperience in doing shapes with Brazilian waxes left me with not such a pristine strip shape afterwards. I bled due to the wax too. Monee was unable to treat for ingrowns as well because her machine was down.
Overall still an ok experience.

I had the best wax experience here! I got a Brazilian wax from Cari and the pain was minimal. She even took care of ingrown hairs and treated the area after. The studio is nicely decorated and makes you feel relaxed. I’ll definitely be going back and wouldn’t go anywhere else for a wax. Thank you again!

Chandra was soo friendly and easy to talk to. The space was so clean and beautiful. She is thorough in her wax and makes you feel right at home - not always easy when you're naked in front of a stranger! Her email communications are so thorough and well done, too. Took a chance on a Groupon I came across for this studio to try and find a new location for waxing services. Chandra was exceptional! From first greet to the end of my service was as relaxing as a Brazilian can be! She definitely was quick, accurate and a great conversationalist. Very easy to vibe with, making you feel super comfortable. The studio space is awesome with light and dark modern vibes. With or without a Groupon, I'm going back!

So today I had my first Experience with NWÄR studios and it was amazing! From the phone call before my visit, my arrival, my services, after the service it was all amazing! To say the least‼ Chandra was very personable, super relatable, funny and all around a Gem! She made me feel totally comfortable which is very important to me! I love, love coming here. My go to is a Brazilian and underarm wax. I'll wait until spring to start having my legs waxed. Today I had Cari and she was great. I had a few ingrown hairs that she took care of very well. This is the only place I go to get my waxing services because it is welcoming, very clean and private. Plus each estetician (pardon my spelling) is friendly and conversational which is nice too.

I went to ONYX for my first ever lash extensions and had the best experience! Chandra was so relaxed and I barely felt anything the whole time. The lashes look SO good. I'm definitely going to do the monthly lash "subscription" to upkeep them because I love the way they look! Best of all, Chandra is such a sweetheart-- makes it easy to want to go back.

I have been getting Brazilian waxes with European Wax Center for years and decided to change it up. I found Onyx Studios through Groupon and purchased a voucher for a Brazilian wax. The salon is trendy, spotless and intimate.
Unlike E.W.C. with their bright, blinding fluorescent lighting, Onyx was comfortable and inviting. Chandra was super engaging and it was genuinely a pleasure to chat with her! She was extremely quick and detail oriented. While I was there, I also had her wax my eyebrows and she did an amazing job!
