Shortly after receiving his degree in "Chimology" from the NCSG Chimney Sweeping School, Jeremy started Fluesbrothers Chimney Service in the Kansas City metro area. Since then, Jeremy has returned and attended the numerous class offerings of the CSIA tech center.

A flue is a venting system. Each system needs its own flue, so if you heat your home with gas and have a fireplace, you would have two flues. Often times they are in one chimney, so if you were to look down the chimney, it would be separated into two venting systems within the one chimney. That answer to that question really depends on how often you burn, what you burn and how you burn.

I just got vent free gas logs installed and they smell horrible! First, congratulations on your purchase! Now we need to discuss burn-off. Burn-off occurs as the log set is curing. This is the process the logs must go through as they burn off any oils, residues, glues, etc. used in the manufacturing process.

Julius was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job with our fireplace inspections. He kept us updated about the concerns or information he was discovering during the inspection. As unexpected concerns came up he notified us first prior to proceeding which we appreciate. He was very friendly, wore a mask/shoe covers and did a great job with clean up post completing his work.
