Nevada Sunset Winery
As home winemakers, we were very excited when Nevada passed a law in 2015 to allow commercial wineries in Nevada Counties of over 100,000 in population. At the time, we had just acquired management of an existing 3 acre vineyard in Fallon, Nevada and were very much looking forward to making Nevada grown wine.

We started looking for space for a winery in Reno right away - and quickly found that it wasn't going to be easy. We looked for over a year and finally found the ideal spot on East 4th Street - a quirky, fun, energetic and evolving re-development area that is also called the Old Brewery District. Alynn moved to Reno 3 years ago and also got involved in the dream.

My husband and I have enjoyed these group of wineries in the past as local, returning customers. Today, we left extremely disappointed. Upon arrival, we were immediately told that there was a special tour de brews event and that they were only serving wines by the glass or by the bottle. We were okay with that so we grabbed a seat and waited. After patiently waiting for 10-15 minutes to order, we decided to leave. They were busy with event patrons, and we didn't feel like they would have valued our business. Upsetting since we like to support our local businesses. We took our business to Whispering

It's like a Napa Winery experience followed me home to Reno!

My bf and I were meandering around down 4th after having a great meal at Estella. We'd debated grabbing some beers but realized we'd never visited one of the wineries that are in this building, so we decided to take a chance. Nevada Sunset was who was pouring that evening and man... did we luck out!

Ben decided to get the red wine flight and I got the white wine flight. Both were $8 for three wines. We'd actually gotten to speak to one of the owners, Mike, who was doing the pourings that evening. What a genuinely

Such a great way to start the evening. It's like a party - everyone chatting together, the winery owners chatting with the winos.

I really enjoyed their sparkling rose and their albarino.

Looking forward to heading back over, sitting at the bar and listening to awesome stories from the patrons and staff/owners.

Locally made wine, yes please! We stopped in because some of my party wanted beer from Lead Dog Brewery and I am the wine drinker. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to get our own drinks then sit outside on the patio. We will definitely be back!

Always a great time at Nevada Sunset. Allen and Mike are amazing down to earth folks who love running the business. We got a bottle Syrah which was great. They are taking less people due to covid and NV rules.

I cannot believe how fantastic these wines are. They have locally made wine from local vines. Definitely worth your time to come taste the local variety and their impressive creativity. Mike, the owner, is a fun and knowledgeable gentleman.
Moreover at $5 for a tasting flight it's a total win.

All the best in providing such a variety and story to your offerings. Highly recommend visiting and indulging in these talents. Their Rose wine was so unique and florid. All their wines are flavorful and outstanding.

Stopped here on a recent visit to Reno. Great assortment of wines. The owners are fantastic. I learned more about the process of wine making and licensing than I thought possible. Short walk from the riverwalk.

I think this is an awesome place! Did not know that it was here and was with a Meetup in order to find it.

Wine tasting Meetup had a good value. 6 wines for $5 but the group was about 20 people.

Great local winery which serves for 3 different wineries. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The vintner took us in the back and let us taste from various barrels that had been fermenting for different times. Very educational! Also, can't beat $5 flights!

This winery is in a tasting room with two other wineries, so you really get three in one stop! We went on a Saturday afternoon just after they opened and we were the only ones there so we got very personal service. Tastings were 4 for $5 (Sept 2018) and I went home with a great bottle of Riesling. Casey and Mike were so nice - friendly and informative. Pours were generous and the room was spacious. Support your local Nevada wineries!

I have been here two separate times now for completely different occasions. The first visit was for a wine MeetUp group where the owners shared multiple wine tasters and their processes with us in a truly educational event. It cost us each $5 I believe and they were very generous and added an additional couple of pours at the end. They are one of three wineries that will have offerings in the space but the only ones currently utilizing the space. At some point Basin & Range and Great Basin will be producing in the other two open sections of this building.

Wine tasting room in downtown Reno. How cool is that. Enjoyed a 5 taster for $5. Rose were my two favorites. They also had a hot wine in a crock pot for tasting, yummy.
Check this place out if you are visiting this brewery district. Parking available, they share the lot with Lead Dog. More wineries will be joining them soon.

I love Reno!

Came here on their grand opening

Angie B saw the grand opening and said we need to check it out. Came in around 6:30pm on a Friday night. There are 3-4 high top tables, a love seat, and a half dozen seats around the bar. If you run on the chilly side, grab a jacket- this is their cellar storage as well as their tasting room.

We each bought a four flight tasting and shared. This way we tasted the entire Sunset Winery menu except the Chardonnay. There are some nice and some surprising wines here. The glass and bottle prices will also amaze you.

Not only can you taste Sunset, but also from
