I agree with all the great reviews. I had my catalytic stolen out of my brand new RV and Chris was great and installed a new one and oxygen sensor. Shortly after the check engine light came on but we were on a cross country trip and had to wait to take care of it. Chris told me he couldn’t fix it and to bring parts back and he would return my money. That was great until he wouldn’t give all my money back and then he got a VERY smart assy attitude in front of customers because I told him the whole thing had been a waste of my time. I will never give him my business again. Especially when he

This review has been long-over due. I had to get new catalytic converters for my truck in early 2020. On top of the fantastic customer service and the constant updates, I was able to sell my old converters to Scottsdale Muffler and apply it as a credit to my total bill! Fast-forward to summer of 2021, I started having problems with my converters again and I was still under SMA’s warranty. Took my truck back in to get it checked out and Chris was honest enough to admit that it was due to the repair they had originally done and since it was still under warranty it was at no additional cost to me

My catalytic converter got stolen and they fit me in early the following morning for a replacement. They also got it done really fast so I could make it to work on time. Chris, the owner, was super friendly and helpful and so was the rest of the staff there. I will definitely be back for future service!

If you have to choose between a national franchise and a locally owned and operated shop - go with the latter and go to scottsdale muffler. excellent work, great price and professional setting. they were able to talk me off the ceiling while i was freaking out (and with humor) and were able to squeeze me in on a friday at noon, quoted me an estimate at a fraction of what the franchise wanted - just to look, and complete the action within in 3 hours- at the quoted cost. am recommending to everyone i know.

I went to this shop this morning for a fairly simple muffler delete on a 2008 Corvette. However, once it was on the rack we realized the job entailed more then what was originally thought. So we went over options and came up with a game plan that suited both our needs. I'm telling you their work is second to none. I am a former mechanic for Ford, and was blown away by the attention to detail and the amount of TLC given to my vehicle. Everybody is super cool to talk to and loves what they do. And you can tell. Being a wrench myself I appreciate guys that like to talk about cars and are still excited

I was referred to Scottsdale Muffler (by a different shop). The other shop has been referring exhaust customers to SM&A for 10 years.
The work on my RV was completed on-time, as promised, at a great price.
If you find yourself in need of an honest mechanic I recommend you give SM & A a try. The McCurdy's run a great shop!
