Services
David James MD, has been with Advanced Cardiology since 2014. He did undergraduate studies at Brown University and medical school training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine ending in 2006. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell in 2009. He worked as an Instructor of Medicine at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2009.
Alexa began her career at Morristown Medical Center and Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She has been a registered nurse for ten years specializing in Cardiology. Alexa earned both her BSN and FNP from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is board certified in family medicine through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Peggy is a Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctorate degree from Rutgers University in 2008. She was initially certified as a Nurse Practitioner in 2000 after completing her Master's Degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark NJ, which is also where she received her training. In 2009 she successfully completed the American Board of Comprehensive Care's exam and received designation as Diplomat in Comprehensive Care.
Our Primary Cardiology Program offers all patients with cardiovascular disease or suspected cardiovascular disease access to the highest level of specialization and medical expertise in the region. Consultative cardiologists see both self-referred and physician-referred patients. Microvascular coronary artery disease (Disease of the finer blood vessels in the body, including the capillaries).
During a nuclear cardiology test, a very small amount of radioactive tracer (radionuclide) is injected into a vein and is taken up by the heart. A very sensitive gamma camera then takes still pictures and movies of the heart with rest, exercise, or medication-induced stress testing. These cardiac images help to identify coronary heart disease, the severity of prior heart attacks, and the risk of future heart attacks.

I do not want to die from heart failure or afib and have no choice but to wait for disability and this office is denying me seeing the doctor because of my outstanding balance. I have no other choice but to wait to pay it, meanwhile dealing with arrhythmia and need a follow up to review the results of my new medication.

Had an angiogram and angioplasty at St Barnabas. Transportation was really hard so Erin the office manager coordinated with the hospital in Livingston and arranged a ride back and forth for me. I thank the staff especially Jacie and Katie who help me everytime I am there . Brilinta was a very expensive medication for me and during the time of authorization both of them helped me with samples .
