Dr. David Momnie began Chicopee Eyecare in 1974 when he assumed the office of his late father, Dr. Paul Momnie, who practiced optometry in Chicopee from 1950 to 1967. He is the recipient of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Burns is from Manchester, Connecticut. Dr. Camille Guzek-Latka is a co-owner of Chicopee Eyecare and has been with the practice for over 20 years.
Prior to joining Chicopee Eyecare, Dr. Guzek-Latka practiced with a renowned Springfield Eye Surgeon for 10 years. We are all continually staying abreast of the latest advances in eye research, education, and technology. We have tried our best to make our office as handicapped accessible as possible, but are limited by certain structural conditions.

Services
Our services include comprehensive adult and pediatric eye examinations, the treatment of eye diseases and injuries and emergency care. We prescribe medications when necessary as well as glasses and contact lenses. We recognize that some eye problems are beyond our skills and know when and where to refer our patients to the best specialists.

Brett Burns gave me the best eye care, and prescription, really experienced and helped me. I know I can count on him for the best eye care. Sarah was very helpful and kind, helping me pick out my frames after I got my new prescription. I have insurance but paid out of pocket to go here, and I’m very thankful I did, it was a great experience. Thanks!!

Awful, called to set up a future appointment for debris in eye and they told me they will only service existing patients and refused service to me after spending 10 minutes on the phone asking questions and avoiding my question of setting up a future appointment. Unprofessional. I highly suggest you go to a more professional eye center

Doctor Burns was very friendly and comforting. He was thorough and took plenty time explaining and answering questions.
As someone with some anxiety issues, it’s very nice when someone tells you what is going to happen (and what it’s for) every step of the way.
I would definitely recommend this place.

Our son has a very strong prescription so we order our frames and lenses through a specialized lab across the country. Our regular eye doctor is in Boston and i will typically go to a semi-local optical shop to get the correct measurements for his bifocal. Because the hours of that shop have changed, there was no way to get there with our schedule. Living in Chicopee I thought I would take a chance and see if a local optician could measure for me since I am not confident in taking the measurements myself. I called Chicopee Eye Care and spoke with Bill. He was incredibly friendly and professional

Chicopee Eyecare is an excellent eye care practice. This group of doctors and assistants work very hard to evaluate, diagnose, and treat their patients.They treat patients respectively and collaborate with other doctors freely. I have serious issues treated here to very successful outcomes, The front desk staff is well very skilled with insurance procedures and are very willing to assist you with your issues, There is NO commercial pitch practiced here! It is a excellent model for a medical practice that I miss in many of my other medical interactions. Use them, they really do care.

Have had my fair share of Eye Appointments in the Greater Springfield Area, and am thankful that I have found Chicopee Eyecare. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted kindly from the front desk staff who are always extremely helpful. The physicians at this practice take their time and are thorough in their exams. Although I have now moved 90 minutes away from the area, I consistently come back for my eye exams because of the great service and kind people at Chicopee Eyecare.

I have been going to optometrist and eye doctors for over 50 years. What I love about this office and staff it's old school they treat you like a human being! They're very proficient at what they do and they've been very accommodating cannot recommend them enough!
Also very very good value prices are extremely fair for the services that they render. I would not hesitate to recommend them as I have had too many friends and acquaintances

I have been a patient at Chicopee Eyecare for over 25 years and couldn’t be more satisfied with the care and attention I have received. The office is filled with a team of professional, personable, and compassionate individuals who make you feel like you’re more than just a patient. They have always been very accommodating with scheduling appointments that fit my schedule and eye health needs. Dr. Momnie and Dr. Latka are the best of the best; I wouldn’t trust my eyes, or my family’s eyes, with anyone else!
