As the old saying goes well drilling is one of the few jobs where you start at the top and work your way down. The depth of wells in the region can vary greatly from one area to another. The area we live and work in has some distinctive geological formations. The type of rock and soil your well is drilled thru frequently determines your water quality.

Valley Drilling Corporation is the leader in well drilling, pump services and water treatment in Northern Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Valley Drilling Corporation was founded by Herman Singhas. Valley Drilling has been in the drilling business since 1951.
Services
Valley Drilling Corporation was founded by Herman Singhas. Valley Drilling has been in the drilling business since 1951. In the early days we drilled and serviced a lot of oil and natural gas wells in Pennsylvania as well as water wells in Virginia and West Virginia. We have come a long way in regards to the equipment and technology used today, but the simple philosophy of customer service guides our company today as it did in 1951.
As the old saying goes well drilling is one of the few jobs where you start at the top and work your way down. The depth of wells in the region can vary greatly from one area to another. When a well is drilled steel casing is installed from above ground to bedrock, this is generally 50' - 100'. Valley Drilling uses only steel casing not plastic like many of our competitors.
The area we live and work in has some distinctive geological formations. The type of rock and soil your well is drilled thru frequently determines your water quality. Valley Drilling will test your water for mineral content free of charge, and make recommendations based on the water analysis. The following are some of the concerns that we deal with most frequently, and how to eliminate these concerns.
Valley Drilling installs water systems along with the wells we drill. Pump systems can vary greatly in capability and cost. We will work with you to determine the best possible solution for your water system. The variables in determining the proper pump system include; but are not limited to the amount of water required, the depth of your well, and the distance from your well to your home or business.
Do I need a permit to have a well drilled on my property? Yes, you will need to call your county environmental health department to apply for your well permit. There are several steps involved in getting your new well permit. In most cases you can locate your well where you want it as long as it meets local requirements.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality
Valley installed a costly well pump (original was15 years old) 2019. July 2021 I had no water. Technician opened tank switch, “clicked it“ for $225. Two months later I was out of water and another company and sw replacing another $285. Had Valley tech just replaced switch I could have saved money. I now have a new well company!

Valley Drilling is OUTSTANDING. My builder Chris Trefany recommended them when my well pump "failed." Previous plumber had misdiagnosed, failed to test the power line to the pump, and charged me $375 to install a new pump relay which immediately failed due to the shorted power line. Valley came out same day, even though they were already fully scheduled, found the problem, fixed the line, and restored water service. Terrible company, came to do my well pump and ended up not fixing it, they cussed my wife, then came and stole everything while I was at work.... WOSRT COMPANY EVER!! At the beginning they make it seem like they want to help but in the end they will also quadruple their estimate they gave once they "think" they fix everything! Tbey came and put all used stuff in and charged me for new stuff as well.. I've had multiple companies come and get pics of their stuff as well.. They cost me 20k and in the end they only said I gave them $1000 which is also a lie I gave 2000 as a down payment

HORRENDOUS customer service!! They came and replaced our well pump 8 days ago and have been here 3 times since and it is still not working properly. Every morning we wake up to NO water after sleeping all night long and with no water being used for at least 8 hours. When they've came to see whats going on, they spend 5 mins here and then leave before resolving the issue. I call them every single day, multiple times and ask to speak with a manager or owner since their elderly dispatch employee, Charlie, cussed me out in his senile state. He needs to retire and I am surprised that in all of his years

Today Valley Drillings water softener crew came to save my Water Right softener system. A large commercial water softener for our farm.
Dale and Andrew were covid safety prepared, fast, very knowledgeable and got my broken system back on line in no time. Then stayed to be sure the media was cleaned out thoroughly. Also taught me how to reset the system if a power outage caused an error code.
Finally I have a Water Right service center that really is first rate.

They love to take your money and sell you things.
Had them out twice to get my water issues resolved after high Iron in water during sale inspection. First time they came out and trashed the testing company as they replaced an o-ring in the system and said nothing is wrong. 2nd time they blamed the well. Then they told the seller (without my permission to share any data which normally goes through my agent) that my well is unstable without any historical data to back it up.

Top notch service from start to finish! Charlie listened to the problems about my well and got guys out early the next morning to fix it. The guys were courteous, professional, smart and hard working. They quickly diagnosed the issue and got a whole new water tank delivered within the hour. They replaced the tank, took out the old one and never made a mess (that was a miracle). I thought I’d have a headache and a day of challenge but the experience was nothing but super fast and awesome.
With 18 horses needing water, I would have paid whatever they wanted but the price was fair too! Can’t

SCAM! Valley Drilling was hired by the purchaser of our house to perform a well test. The well pump was replaced less than 4 years ago. They said they found "grounding issues" and that the entire pump had to be replaced > $2600. We got a second opinion, nothing wrong with the pump, no grounding issues and the cap was left off with the bolts on the ground...like they were planning to come back and replace it.

Called them, they took information and promised to call back. One month later I called again -- they promised to call back. I'm still waiting! Would not deal with this company if it was the last one on earth!
