At Moorkamp & Arthur Family Dentistry, we practice "Health-Centered" Dentistry. This type of dentistry is dedicated to achieving optimum health and optimum repair of oral health system. A thorough examination is completed and goal setting is instituted to create a MASTER PLAN that has the goal of maximum protection and preservation of the oral health complex.
I became a dentist because I learned the rewards of patient care while helping my father develop x-rays at his dental office beginning at 12 years old. I was graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with a degree in Psychology and a DDS degree from University of Missouri Kansas City, and established a solo private practice that continues today in Rolla.
I became a dentist because I love interacting with people on an individual basis and being able to help each one of those people live a healthier lifestyle. Due to being a third generation dentist I have been around dentistry my entire life. With my father and grandpa being dentists, I was able to see first hand what it truly meant to be a dentist.

I could never say enough good things about this clinic! I've been a patient here since I was a kid and I never understood why my friends disliked going to the dentist until I realized how exemplary this clinic is. Dr. Moorkamp, Dr. Arthur, Dr. Steven, and their staff go out of their way to get to know their patients and make sure they feel comfortable, welcome and informed. They are all very passionate about their profession and giving the highest quality care and it shows!

I'm a life-long dental-phobe in my upper 60s, and yesterday I had the best dental visit of my life with Dr William Moorkamp, Jessi, and hygenist Karlee. Everyone I was in contact with in that office was friendly, respectful, and a careful listener, without exception. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill cleaning and exam, but I got a wonderful education and challenge to keep prioritizing my teeth.

For my entire life, I have always dreaded going to the dentist, until today. I can honestly say this is the 1st time I didn't suffer through the shots to numb my gums/teeth. The entire staff is very pleasant to deal with & are always asking if I had any questions. A game plan for my dental care was layed out & while performing the work I was being told what they were doing. I'm so pleased with the work that was done. I highly recommend them. They take care of you & treat you like family.

A few months ago I was a first time patient at Moorkamp & Arthur and I definitely have to say I've never been to a nicer dentist office. I was there to have a tooth pulled. Everyone was so friendly! They were super patient with me and extremely welcoming. I'm always so nervous to visit a new dentist, but I never once felt uncomfortable here. The entire staff from the front desk to the assistant to the Dr. went above and beyond!

I can express how amazing this density is, they are always so welcoming and professional! You can tell they really care about their clients and enjoy their jobs! They always make sure we are completely comfortable and knowledgeable every step of the way thur all the dental procedures. They work amazing with people with PTSD and that was a huge help for us! They will walk you thur step by step of each process! My husbands teeth were in extremely bad shape and they have worked so hard to save his teeth- they did a fantastic job! We just love Dr Moorkamp and his staff and recommend them to all that ask for the name of a good dentist. I had to undergo extensive dental work. Needless to say my past experience with dentists left me less than enthusiastic about getting the work done. But Dr Moorkamp has changed all that. He takes the time to sit and talk with each patient, develops a plan to care for the patient's dental health rather than just fixing the problem, ensures that everything fits and works the way it's supposed to, and genuinely cares about his clients. Moorkamp & Arthur Family Dentistry is one of the best medical offices I've ever been to. The staff are so pleasant and helpful when I call or go in for an appointment. I'm a very hands-on patient. I like to know everything that's happening or going to happen. They explain anything with knowledge and respect. Dr. Stephen Moorkamp always remembers me. (I'm not from here and don't go as often as I should.) To me, that means that he personalizes the care given to each individual rather than just pushing patients through. We discuss my dental maintenance plans in depth with him explaining in layman

In the past, I've never looked forward to visiting the dentist because of jaw pain and anxiety. While I can't say I do look forward to it now, I can say that when I walk into Moorkamp and Arthur Family Dentistry, the anxiety I feel is eased, and I know that everything is going to be done to alleviate my pain. All of the staff and doctors are extremely friendly and accommodating--they treat me like family. I live in Springfield, but the two-hour drive to Rolla is well worth it when I know I'm going to receive excellent care and treatment from wonderful people!

I have been going to Moorkamp and Arthur Dentistry for over a year and a half now, and I have always loved my experiences. Every time I have been in the office, the staff has been so friendly and cares not only about my dental health but what is going on in my life. They take the time to get to know you, and want to make your visit special. Each of the dentists and dental hygienists are so knowledgeable and make sure their patients get the care they need. I can't fully express in words how grateful I am to have found Moorkamp dental. I was new to the area and needed a regular checkup, so I looked online for a dentist in the area. All the reviews about Dr. Moorkamp and his staff were so great, that I knew that was where I wanted to go.
My checkup was great. I walked away feeling good about the thorough exam that they do. A few months after that (just finished the process the other day), I decided to get some cosmetic work done on my front teeth for a crown and a veneer. It's hard to find a dentist that you trust to do a good job for you

My 11 year-old daughter was at camp near Rolla. She had an issue where her brackets from her braces popped off, and she needed to be seen since the metal was sticking in her cheek. I called an orthodontist in the area who refused to see anyone but his patients. I explained my situation to Dr. Moorkamp's office, and they offered to see my daughter and help her. His office was extremely nice over the phone, and helped my daughter with her issue. She is now back at camp with a comfortable mouth thanks to him.

Bill Moorkamp is a great dentist. He is extremely gentle with children, does not rush them and obviously enjoys working with kids. His staff is very friendly, yet professional. There is always a smile on his face and he takes time to visit with each patient and listens to concerns. The office is clean and modern. The waiting time is minimal. Bill is active in the community and is dedicated in serving the Rolla area. A definite 5-star establishment!
