SunWork's mission is to help make solar more affordable and widespread with the help of trained volunteers. SunWork's purpose is to empower people to adopt solar power where it hasn't been economically practical in the past. Installing solar can be expensive for a homeowner due to costs of equipment, installation, and marketing costs in a competitive industry.
By making solar more affordable for low-energy-footprint homeowners and for nonprofits, SunWork puts solar power within more people's reach. Our volunteers are what makes SunWork work. And due to our nonprofit model, we don't mark up equipment nor do we have many marketing costs. The heart of our mission is to give environmentally-concerned people a way to do something to make a difference.

Services
Our nonprofit model helps make solar more affordable and widespread with the help of trained volunteers. SunWork is a nonprofit organization with industry professionals who train volunteers to help with small solar installations. Our model enables us to provide you with cost savings up to 1/3 below conventional costs.
We make it possible for homeowners with low electricity usage to take advantage of clean renewable solar energy where it previously wasn't economically feasible. SunWork's mission is to make solar affordable for low-energy-footprint homeowners. Often those who are already saving on their electricity bills haven't been able to justify the costs of going solar.
What are the reasons people go solar? Often the most important benefits for homeowners are reducing their utility costs while at the same time reducing their carbon footprint. When you go solar, you can reduce the cost of your utility bills. Most of SunWork's customers purchase their system outright thereby often reducing their monthly cost to PG&E's minimum monthly bill of around $10.
Checkout our homeowner customer stories and learn how solar energy can truly be affordable, save you money, and help you contribute towards making a difference in preserving the planet. A sales pitch from a different solar company ironically led us to a great experience with SunWork. The pitch showed us that an installation is.
SunWork installs solar for nonprofits which reduces their electricity bills, enabling them to deliver more services to their communities and to operate more sustainably. SunWork focuses on tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations who want to install a system under 35 Kilowatts (dc). We do not install solar systems that are ground mounted such as a solar parking structure.

SunWork is a not for profit organization, which has very few employees and rest of the (wo)man power comes as volunteers (like you and me), who get trained both in classroom/zoom and on-the-job.
Great guys to work with and very friendly at every step of the process. Everyone I had a chance to work with are highly professional, flexible, spend time to explain all the questions I had. They are not only nice to the owners, they are also very nice to the volunteers. It's a Win-Win-Win.
