I have taken my dog, Molly, here for the last 5 years and Dr. Bhakri has been AMAZING with the care of my dog. Dr. B has a rare combination of skills that include working both well with people and treating his patients effectively.
I moved to Mountain View over a year ago but still continue to bring Molly to his clinic in Sunnyvale, because he's provided such a great service over the years. I definitely recommend Dr. B for the care of your furry loved ones! A few months ago we had to put our Black Lab down after fifteen years.

I received a condolence card from the clinic and they couldn't be bothered to even get thr gender of my pet correct on thr condolence card. I also requested and read the report from the emergency clinic and I am revising my rating to a 1 as I now have a much clearer picture of my cat's state prior to her death. If you truly love your furry companion and want the best care for them, choose a different vet. My cat spent 4 hours under observation under their care on her final day and they failed to catch anything was wrong with her. They don't even care enough to get the details of

We’ve been taking our pets to ELC for years. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and do a fantastic job of clearly and patiently explaining what’s going on as well as discussing important considerations and trade-offs.
The entire staff is compassionate, friendly, and an overall pleasure to deal with.
ELC is by far the best vet we’ve ever had, and I can’t imagine taking our pets anywhere else.

Dr. Bhakhri, Isabela, Jacob and the entire staff at ELC clinic have been extremely helpful, caring and considerate during our puppy's treatment for Giardia. As new puppy parents, potty training itself is already hard enough, and it becomes especially emotionally draining when we have to wake up with puppy diarrhea every other morning during Giardia infection.

This place is one of the most organized, thoughtful, and amazing vet clinics i've been to. They are fair and reasonable which is why I prefer this vet to any other. Dr. Bhakhri and the front desk staff have always been very pleasant and helpful. Specifically last year when my senior dog had an emergency situation. I called the office after hours on Saturday afternoon. Luckily Dr. Bhakhri answered and told me to bring my dog in right away. I came here a few times for my little dogs because it was close to home. Dr Parvizi was my vet. I called today to make an urgent appt with Dr Parvizi, but apparently he had moved his practice to Summit Animal Hospital in Los Gatos.
Every time I speak to Jacob, the office manager who takes the phone calls for appts, I have an issue dealing with him. He is the rudest person and has zero customer service skills. Same thing today. He can be infuriating to deal with.

If you want to be treated with respect, then please do not come here. You will be treated like trash because staffs are super arrogant.

We were visiting the town of San Jose for work and we brought our cat with us. She started showing symptoms of a UTI and this was the only vet that was available to see her the same day. We are very happy with the service they provided. Everyone is very friendly. Both the staff and Dr Bhakhri kept us updated frequently. My cat came out very calmed :)

This review is far over due. My dog was was my best friend and he got very ill towards the end of his life. I had the hardest time dealing with it and Dr.Bhakhri was kind and very patient with us. He treated my dog until the end of his life. He was called in to consult if we had any questions about any of the meds we were giving him. The cancer was very aggressive and we did not get to keep him for much longer but ELC understood what we were going through. My dog was 18 years old at that time and we gave him the best life we could possibly give him. Dr. Bhakhri was was his vet for most of his time

This is my first Yelp review! My experience with Dr. Bhakhri and Jacob was disturbing. They are unprofessional, unethical, and incompetent for many reasons. I filed a complaint with BBB and with the District Attorney's Office.
I purchased the $300 puppy package and experienced the following:
1. Incomplete vaccines
2. Incomplete physical exam
3. Denied a prescription because they were "too busy"
4. Lied about Costco not selling Simparica (Costco is the best for pet prescriptions)
5. Aggressive verbal behavior: A civil standby by the Sunnyvale Police was issued

I have an 18 year old cat, yep she is really old. I've been taking her to banfield cause she needed her teeth cleaned. I don't want to denigrate them, they have their place. Gracie can't seem to handle her claws length. I took her back to ELC and was grateful I did so. They give her the best care. She is eating better, and feeling better. I am grateful.

The whole staff has been so helpful and great in helping us care for our cat Surya. We were referred to ELC and to Dr. Bhakhri in particular, and the referral has been perfect. Even though we live in Mt. View, and there are other vets closer to where we live, it's worth driving to Sunnyvale. Thank you ELC so much for everything!

We found ourselves in a tough spot. About to leave town in the morning and our dog Oz, came up with an irritated right eye. We didn't know if it was an infection or contagious and we had planned to board him while we were gone.
I called and spoke to Jacob who was very empathetic and helpful. He got us right in! Lucy took Oz for the appointment and mentioned how nice the doctor was and the rest of the staff as well.
Turns out, no infection or anything contagious. Looks like our travel plans are still on thanks to the great care by ELC! I would highly recommend, the level of care was fantastic

I was deciding on a puppy package between ELC and Banfield. From the information I gathered, it cost about the same for vaccinations + fixing at both ELC and Banfield. I chose ELC because it was a smaller more personal clinic.
I came to regret this decision during fixing time. The amount of hidden cost is ridiculous. With the purchase of a puppy package, I was initially quoted about $2-300 for fixing.
Here are some of the hidden fees they don't tell you about:
$250 pre surgery bloodcheck
$300 in anesthesia and post surgery medicine.
So to total everything up. You're looking at

We've been taking our dog there not for long, but we've been very happy. The staff is lovely and very understanding. We were just there for our dog's annual exam and they explained everything they were going to do and gave us options without pushing any one way or the other. We got an estimate prior to work being done and everything was itemized and clear for us. Our dog is healthy and is now up to date with all his vaccinations. Even during this time they are seeing patients and it gives us peace of mind that our dog won't be at risk of getting sick.:) I'd definitely recommend it!

Update: ELC is the best vet I've ever brought my pets to. I reached out to ELC to get some flea medicine for my dog and they let me know that I could buy it directly though them for cheaper AND it turned out that my dog was overdue for his shots. They educated me on how often certain vaccines for dogs are needed/recommended. Thanks, ELC!

They show genuine care for my dog, very loving and empathetic and my dog is always excited to go there. The doctor was nice and thorough but I can't get over the prices they are charging. They quoted me $650 (but up to $2k) for a dental cleaning for my cat when another vet in Sunnyvale charges $470. The office visit was also about $50 more than my last office visit at a different vet in Sunnyvale. I won't be bringing my cat back as I just can't afford this place, I think the prices are outrageous.
After I left my 2 start review about the price I was contacted by the manager and he gave me a $150 discount on the dental cleaning.

We have been treated in a different clinic before switching to ELC and we are extremely happy that we did!
This clinic is amazing ! The veterinary doctors are kind and professional and the team as well.
But above all, they make me feel like they really CARE. This is probably what makes them the BEST.
They were all very patient with all of my questions and also gentle in the way they handled my dog which is very anxious in clinics.
I highly recommend!!!

Where to even begin- we have 6 animals. 2 dogs and 4 cats and Dr B and his amazing team take such wonderful care of our animals. They have always been able to accommodate any last minute appointments and are always upfront about any treatments that are necessary.
We never leave our animals in their care and worry. We know Dr B and his entire team are going to care for our fur family the best way possible!
Dr B was also honored by the Sunnyvale police department when the fire department needed assistance rescuing a puppy. He is truly a wonderful person and truly an amazing caregiver to all
