Services
Maryland Recovery's unique approach to treating addiction in Harford County, Maryland was established in 1999, beginning with affordable recovery homes for those leaving a 28-day treatment program and having nowhere to go and limited resources. Today we proudly serve clients from all over the country who need help overcoming drug and alcohol abuse through personalized outpatient addiction treatment programs.
Maryland Recovery's vintage facility is located in the heart of Bel Air, Maryland, the seat of Harford Country. Our long-term drug and alcohol rehab center is well-positioned to serve residents from Baltimore and even Annapolis who need extended care after completing a detox and/or short residential program elsewhere.
Maryland Recovery has a widely diverse staff of addiction specialists with all the same goal at heart - helping you and your loved one heal and attain a lifelong sobriety. Our on-going commitment to you and your family is seen in our dedication to the highest standards of care, both individually and as a team.
We want to make this process as seamless as possible, and a lot of clients question the items to bring to rehab. Maryland Recovery gave me the tools and counseling to accept my past and forge a new future for myself. Life today has a hope and brightness to it that had not experienced before. I got a job and an apartment with the help of Maryland Recovery.
Maryland Recovery wants to help as many people as possible seeking treatment to overcome drug or alcohol addiction, which is why we've partnered with many health insurance providers. Because people are affected differently by drug and alcohol dependency, choices in insurance coverage should accommodate the various types of treatment programs we offer.

I feel like if you went to MRP and disliked the experience, then maybe you were there for the wrong reasons or didn't take advantage of the experience! I'm not saying that it was all sunshine and rainbows but I was there to learn how to be me again and I got that and so much more. The staff was great! I made some amazing friendships with people and really got to take care of ME for a change. I can only speak for myself, but I highly recommend the program and will continue too! I miss all of the staff and hope that I can be involved with them on a professional level one day!

Place was run down, at one point pipes busted on second floor resulting in cascading waterfalls crashing down into the dining area. Bed bugs, etc. They set up cots so they could squeeze extra people in. Catered to people with high bottoms, singular view on treatment and it’s outdated. Really Overpriced.
I am editing this to respond. I am not confusing this “facility” with another treatment program. This is where I was and what happened and I think it’s pretty horrible that you’re going to pretend that it wasn’t your establishment. Still trying to rip people off I see. If it makes anyone

The place is ok but it is incredibly expensive and they exaggerate about what they do and what it’s like there and where you live and with how many people etc. Talk about stuff like equine therapy yet I’m not aware of a single person doing it once in the three months I was there. I’m sure someone’s done it once a long time ago at least but cmon. this is however something basically every rehabs does tho. They are rarely what they make em out to be. People should be aware that they exaggerate but there are definitely worse rehabs. It’s never sat well with me that they’ll tell you anything

Please don’t go here or send your loved ones here. They promise you things over the phone that do not exist. They are not consistent with their rules and regulations. In no way was I felt cared for by the staff. One night myself and two other clients were left alone all night without supervision. The door on our inpatient house did not lock. The “treatment” consisted of watching movies and listening to music/watching music videos. Meds were not supervised by a nurse. Just dispensed on an honor code system. That being said, there are people there that care. Those people were the other clients

This place has gone down hill alil bit. Things are told to you on your phone interview that never happen or don't exist in this program. 3 prior staff members left this program and I wonder why...because it has gotten alil unorganized and mainly worried about getting you or your insurance’s money. Will say though they will give you structure and if you try to buck their way then you will get the boot. Good place if you are new to recovery. If you have been in and out of a few rehabs then this may not be your choice...the IOP is pricey if out of pocket and the curriculum is old. I'm in a new IOP

Maryland Recovery is one of the top programs in the State of Maryland. As a care manager in the region, they are always helpful and have a very fast response rate to client needs and care. Their clinical team has an excellent reputation and every patient we send to them really does well in their program.
