I'm glad I came to Stevens back in 2018. They have some of the best training this Industry has to offer. However please get your experience in and find a better company that pays their drivers what they are worth. This is strictly a starter company as much as I hate that term. I will recommend them to new drivers because they do a great job at training. But for a career it will be a big NO!!!!. I teamed with my fiance and we made barely enough to pay our bills and eat. Don't team drive because they don't have team loads. Their team loads are designed for trainers and students where they shutdown

Critical: Responsiveness
Why don't you guys answer the phone? If you want drivers you need to answer. I've left a callback number MULTIPLE times and never get a call back. I call other schools for cdl training and they answer right away.

If you want to be stranded in states 1000 miles from home, this is the right company! They claim to have great trucks which is a lie. And when you decide to leave they will charge you for everything. Hotel, flights, and just breathing air around them. Worst company out there. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve worked here since December of 2020 brand new to the trucking world. Knowing I would have a huge learning curve to be successful in this industry. I believe trucking is about Constantly learning somethings you’re done not so good (or really bad) and improve on them time after time. With Stevens and camaraderie with staff in the office and in the trucks is second to none. I started out otr but now I’m on The rail division and constantly learning this logistics game. Trust me it is tough in the beginning and it will make you question your decisions but be open to learn and you will be successful

If you are looking for a great school to learn how to drive an 18 wheeler, this is the place to be. Listen, if you're willing to not only invest time, energy, and learn the techniques these trainers are teaching, you will not be happy. I came with the attitude of let me know what I have to do to drive. My road trainer was "Showtime". I will always be grateful for his knowledge and the tools and techniques he provided to make my foundation strong. I have my CDL license today and now I am ready to get on the road and learn how to become a truck driver who has experience because if where I started

If you are a heavier person, beware of trying to get your CDL here. They're very good at shaming people for being the slightest bit overweight, and when getting a ticket home, will book you for the next day, when there's plenty of same day tickets, all because they want for you to pay more money on a hotel room with them. All this company is wanting from you is free money, and the trainers, etc. are very disrespectful and rude. Be very careful on coming here.

I attended the Stevens training academy in 2011 and drove for this company until 2018 and then transferred to the tanker division until its end. I am now employed as an instructor in the school. I knew after having driven for this company in the first year that when it was time for me to come off the road this is where I wanted to finish my working career. I have had a close working relationship with many of the members of the management staff, most all of the safety department, the planners, and dispatchers ... all of which have always been very courteous and professional in our interactions.

Interesting how all the Very Good and Excellent rankings have no grammatical errors and all the Poor-Fair rankings are littered with grammatical errors. I don't know who to believe; the comments written by Stevens office employees, or disgruntled rednecks who were fired for making U-turns!
I drove with Stevens for 15 months and I will definately tell you that the only way that you can make decent money (approximately 41 cent per mile) is to join the Alliance program. Also, Stevens is a training company. Get your training (fulfill your 1 year obligation) and move on to another company and make
