She moved from California to Texas when she was five years old and considers herself a proud San Antonio native since she has lived here most of her life. She opened a flower shop two months later. Twenty-four years later she moved her business to Loop 410 and Blanco Road, stopped selling flowers, and moved the business to focus on cake supplies only.

For thin (spreading) consistency icing, add 2 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk. For Pure White Icing (stiff consistency), omit butter; substitute an additional 1/2 cup shortening for butter and add 1/2 teaspoon No-Color Butter Flavor. Add up to 4 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk to thin for icing cakes.

Went in to get a photo printed for a cake. Was told there is no one working that knows how to do it besides the owner and another employee. The other employee was off and the employee working said the owner may come in or may not I'm not sure??? As a business owner myself it's very disappointing the lack of duplication and training this establishment has. I've been a customer for years. If this is a service your business provides then there needs to be a trained staff member who can provide that service at all times. Products here are great. Customer service and training of employees

Pros: Selection here is pretty good. Has a decent range of products.
Cons: customer service. Visited twice, both times service was lacking. My most recent visit I caught eye contact with a woman behind the counter as I was waiting to ask for help.... she didnt stop her conversation with her coworker to acknowledge me. I had to wait until a third worker finished at the register just so I could ask for help.

I purchased an Ensemble Pour rosettes et timbales to make rosette desserts. When I got it home and tried to assemble the attachments I found them impossible. I know they say no returns or exchanges, but when a product is defective I would think they would stand behind their products. The manager tried to put the gadget together and had lots of trouble. He said well we never have had a complaint before. Next time you are in the store tell me how it worked for you. I forgot to tell him I would never go back to his store.

My aunt is a professional baker, she works from home due to some medical problems.
She doesn't know how to use the internet well so going to a local cake shop is her only way to go.
When she went there her first time, they sold her a beat-up mold for. They covered the imperfection with a large price sticker and when she got home and took it off, she saw there was a huge dent on the mold.
So when she went that day to return it and tell them what happened, they blamed it on her and told her they didn't care whether or not she wasn't going to return, because they had enough customers

Wow. Helpful phone service matched the equally helpful in store service. We are from out of town and needed a lot of help putting together a 50th Wedding Anniversary cake for my parents. Couldn't be more helpful w cake stands etc. AND the prices are truly REASONABLE! God bless these people for helping and having skill. Noting these two don't always connect in the great big universe. Wow!

I bake from my home and this is the only store in town that always has the supplies I need. Whether it be a cookie cutter, a cake pan, gel colors or boxes, I never leave without what I came for.
The girls there are very friendly. When I have questions about a product, they have answers.
The only 'bad' thing is that they don't ever have samples of their flavorings. I would think i would try more if I could test them out first.

I love this place! Its awesome because it has everything you Need for baking And decorating along with classes. The last 2 times I went in I recieved really bad customer service which was a great disappointment because I felt I was ignored and employee didn't care for My urgency for buttercream Even though shipment was already in and in the store she was not able to locate or even care to try to locate the buttercream for me so I had to return the next day to check if she had finally put out shipment. Forgot to mention there were 2 Employees and neither one helped.
