The outside of our facility may not have the appearance of a traditional funeral home, but we do offer the same services. Without a large facility, we can provide affordable options and strive to lessen the financial burden that funeral expenses may create for a family. Our chapel is designed for smaller services or gatherings of 30-50 people.

Services
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

Midwest Cremation was amazing from the beginning. I called them in June 2021. My 18 year old son had just been put on Hospice. I spoke with Ron. He was so kind and understanding. He even had Missy come to my house to help notarize some paperwork.
When my son passed on July 9th, the two people that came to get him were so kind and understanding.
Missy was amazing! She even came out to my house to give me my son's urn since I had family in town.

Missy and the team were amazing. My dad lived and hr our of Springfield, but they still were willing to handle everything. They handled everything plus more! Midwest Cremation prices are the cheapest we found, and we called 8 other Funeral homes. Once my dad went into hospice he declined rapidly, and he didn’t have any life insurance or anything set up to bury him. We were able to pay for everything out of pocket because of how affordable they were. I’m thankful for Missy and the Midwest Cremation Crew for all you did for me and my family this past week!

Things were going smoothly until I went to pick up my mother's ashes. Then the creepy old guy at the funeral home coughed on me! We were both wearing masks, but I could feel the force of his cough from across the table! I bathed in hand sanitizer, and went home and took a shower. YOU DON'T GET TO COUGH ON PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE WEARING A MASK!

My family friend of 30 plus years who was like a 2nd father to me past recently. From the initial phone call I knew I had the right place. Both Ron Blackwell & his Daughter Missy were exemplary in every essence of the word! The death of a loved one is hard enough to contend with.
