Getting to South Padre Island is much easier than you think. If you decide to fly to your tropical getaway, three airports serve the Rio Grande Valley: Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), Valley International Airport (HRL) and McAllen International Airport (MFE).
Brownsville is approximately 30 minutes from South Padre Island, Valley International Airport is 45 minutes, and McAllen International Airport is about an hour and 30 minutes.Various forms of ground transportation, including taxis, rental cars, and limousines, are available from each of the three airports.

This condo is well located on the bay with a tennis court and docking for your boat. We just spent six days at Las Brisas in condo 211. Our condo was a dump with decorations by garage sales. While the management is very pleasant the unit was not well taken care of.. This place is old and cheaply run. I will not return.

Stayed at Las Brisas condos couple times this summer. Last trip we stayed in a three bedroom three bath unit and were very pleased with everything. The ACs are cold and the showers have plenty of hot water, and the unit was very clean and comfortable. We were on the bay front side and the sunsets are amazing. The lights on the docks make for fishing at night and have handy fish cleaning tables. Though we did not have a boat, there were wet slips available as well.
The manager Joy is a real sweetheart. She quickly addressed every question/request we had. We will stay there again.

Private, peaceful, well-maintained, secure, older Bayfront condos. Great view and good fishing from the back deck. They could add the newer green floodlights rather than the old HPS white/yellow spectrum lights they have. I was just a guest though and things like that are up to the homeowners to decide. The Sauceda's unit #213 is available through VRBO I imagine. It's lovely and the guest book was full of nothing but glowing reviews and many repeat visitors.

Our family does a beach trip every year, there is about 12 of us, and we all agree this was our favorite place. Last year was our 1st time and we booked again this year. We get 2 condos, one that sleeps 8 and one that sleeps 6. The places are very reasonably priced, big, nicely decorated and very clean. It's great if you love fishing and only about a 5 min drive to the beach.

I love staying here. It's extremely well-maintained. I like to windsurf so the sail racks and places for gear storage are great. When the wind isn't blowing I swim, play tennis, and fish off the docks. The docks are set up with fish cleaning stations. At night, I take the kid to the docks with a net and a bucket and catch sea horse, needle fish, baby flounder, crab, hermit crabs, ghost shrimp, all sorts of weird little arthropods, piggy perch, inkfish/spanish dancers, ... there's no end to the variety. My little girl loves it. We put everything back after we photograph it and look at it.
