Al's Shoe Repair

If Al fixed it and it doesn't hold, he will fix it so it does hold. I don't think he is cheap but does a good job. Repairing shoes saves your favs as well as saves shoes from the landfill!

Yelp is incorrect with the opening hours for this shop. I stopped at 10:38 this morning to be greeted with a sign that they open at noon.

Al is a miracle worker. He fixed two split seams on a well loved pair of short leather Camper boots. Now they are better than new. Looking forward to wearing my boots on my next travel adventure.

Took a pair of boots here to get the heels/soles repaired. They weren't expensive shoes but weren't cheap either and I figured they were worth trying to fix. The work done on them seems to be good.

I said yes to the add on of having them cleaned up and waterproofed, which I wish I didn't do. For an extra $15 I figured why not, but the boots are definitely a different color now than when I brought them in. Not a huge deal because I don't mind the color but... still. I dropped the shoes off on a Tuesday and they were ready about a week later, not sure if this is typical or not

Why am I the first to comment? ...On 2 designer pairs: On the first, Al did an "OK" job on a 1/2 rubber sole replacement. But on the 2nd, messed up on a common, and very simple small-heel repair; he used excessive force to nail the new heel, and so visibly compressed the leather at this area, leaving it unattractive and unprofessional. I hope the next repair on this set can slightly remedy this bad work. Will find another shoe repair person :(
