In the spring of 2004, Rick Schut decided to launch his own business, Cutting Edge Lawn Care. He started with no customer base, just experience and a desire to start something of his own. In the fall of 2015, Ricks eldest son, Logan, joined Rick full-time as a partner. Rick grew up working on his family's dairy farm in Zeeland while attending high school.
Following graduation Rick pursued employment as a dental technician for 14 years. During this time he married his wife Kathy and several years later they were blessed with four sons, Logan, Christian, Cameron, and Brady. Rick has always enjoyed keeping a manicured lawn which evolved into the start up of Wolverine Lawn Care as a part time pursuit.
