Lee Huang, who founded Able Acupuncture in 2002, is a nationally board-certified acupuncturist who brings to her patients a comprehensive background in both Western and Eastern medicine. She started her career as an ophthalmologist and eye surgeon in China, and spent more than ten years practicing at the Red Cross Hospital-where she earned the titled of Doctor of Excellence-before moving to the United States with her family in 1995.
Able Acupuncture is located at 2448 76th Ave SE, #212 on Mercer Island, a community nestled between Seattle and Bellevue, Washington. On Mercer Island: From Island Crest Way turn West onto SE 27th St. Follow SE 27th through several stop signs passing Walgreens (on your left). Continue on 27th, follow the curve to the right around the new Starbucks (where 27th St becomes 76th Ave SE).

My father, 92-year-old, had two lumbar spine fusion surgery and continued back pain. He refused further surgeries due to bad post surgical experience after the second surgery. Eight out of 10 chronic back pain. With Dr Lee Huang’s acupuncture therapy, there is significant pain improvement eliminating the need of pain medication which had side effects of constipation. I had been suffering from sleepless nights and a foggy brain for a couple months. I wanted to try acupuncture and was referred to Able Acupuncture by two different people. I'm so glad to have found Lee because after approximately 8 visits and some effective herbal medicine, not only am I sleeping better than I have in months and my brain fog lifted, but I've also noticed a remarkable increase in energy and a decrease in anxiety that I haven't felt in a few years! This was my first time working with acupuncture. I had heard such great things from others that I figured I would give it a try to deal with an ongoing problem with pain. I was very impressed right from the start. I found my consultation to be very thoughtful and thorough, identifying problems and possible causes. Right from the first session, I started feeling better, with reduced pain, and improved flexibility. I am impressed and grateful for the focused, expert work I have gotten at Able. I went in to see Lee having tried several things over a period of months for leg, hip, and back pain that was starting to interrupt my life. Her work was the first thing that started moving my body back into good health. The first treatment gave me great relief for a short time, then the second for longer, and each treatment following lasting longer and setting the return point closer to normal.

A client of Dr. Lee for over three years, extremely very caring, listen to my concerns and where it hurts, a patient from chronic pains and inflammation of an old injury, bad experiences of non-caring healthcare specialist, I love the dabbler that pinpoint the symptoms, the measurements of different types of needles toward the areas made me a little uncomfortable at first, I felt at ease with her approach. My body and is better I do not need to go every week, now is able to manage internal pains better.

Dr Lee is a very professional acupuncturists. I had never done acupuncture before, so I was a bit nervous, but Dr Lee makes you feel very comfortable. One of the things I love about Able Acupuncture is how informed you feel. Some visits she modifies my treatment due to my current condition or symptoms. Afterwards I feel restored and relaxed. Initially I sought out acupuncture for IBS related symptoms. After the treatment with Dr Lee most of my symptoms subsided. Every chance I get I recommend Dr Lee!

I have a high pain tolerance in general, but I'm VERY sensitive to needles; so when past providers didn't trust me on this, they'd start with medium needles and then move to smaller ones when they were too much for me - not fun. Lee Huang is very talented and caring. I came to her a year ago with a very painful frozen shoulder condition. I stopped working out and doing my favorite activities and felt a lot of pain in my shoulder. She was very instrumental in regaining mobility in my shoulder and in addition she's helped me emotionally too. She is caring and knows how to use acupuncture to heal problems. I was afraid of needles at first but it isn't painful and helps tremendously. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to feel better
