My husband and I came up for our two year wedding anniversary for the weekend. When we arrived at our cabin (#3) the view was breath taking. The cabin was quaint and clean. Mercideth, the owner was amazing and very helpful. My husband and I will definitely come back. I wanted to stay and extra night, but unfortunately I had to go back to work on Monday.

West Oak Bed & Breakfast was great. My family and I traveled to Bryson City for the Christmas weekend 2017 to get on the Polar Express. But who would have thought that staying at this B&B would have been one of the best high points. For a small Cabin it was very spacious. Decent size room with a Queen size bed and a full bath. In the living area it had a pull out sofa bed for the kids to sleep on. I was really impressed with the kitchen and how it had all the kitchenware needed to make dinner as if I was back at my own home. From our dining room table we were able view the city and mountains while

Highly recommend cabin 3 for a rustic yet very clean experience. Mercideth is an excellent host, gives very good recommendations, takes very good care of her cabins and rooms, and will go out of her way to resolve any issue. Unique location overlooking Byson City and so close you can easily walk anywhere including the GSM Railroad and cafes.

Clean with all the basic needs, wifi, flat screens, stove, microwave, free firewood, good coffee, etc. We stayed in cabin 3. I think it has the best balcony porch area. Firm beds, no saging mattress. Loved the overlooking of the town from the porch. It probably the most private area inside the city, as well. We will stay here again next time coming to the area. Not a 5 star hotel, but for an old remodel cabin, I give it 5 star.

The parking is terrible!!!! Almost tore the tailpipe off my car ascending and descending the ridiculously sloped driveway. The room was not clean...spider webs and spiders on the inside of the windows. The commode did not operate properly and the lever chain kept falling off the connection inside the tank, forcing me to constantly do plumbing work. The shower was perfect, if and only if, you were 5 ft tall and weighed 90 pounds. The whole room was like a basement in hell. Cell phone reception was not good because of the dungeon like location of the room. Owners would not work with us when we were

Cabin was clean, comfortable and quiet. Close to town and centrally located to all scenic rides. Most relaxing vacation I've had in years.
Mercedith, the owner even sent phone charger that we left behind. Really nice people.

I had a great visit to West Oak on 12/29/09. The room we stayed in was furnished with nice antiques and there were lots of homey touches like CD, videos, books, and magazines. The proprietor, Meredith, is very welcoming. You feel like you're staying with family. The free breakfast at the cafe makes this en especially good deal. I will definitely go back.
