Services
A native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Todd Peenstra attended the University of Mississippi before moving to New Orleans to join the sales team at M.S. Rau Antiques, one of the country's largest and most prestigious fine art and antiques galleries. While there, he played an active role in sales, appraisals and acquisitions for this powerhouse gallery whose reputation was built on their extraordinary and diverse collections.
Art appraisal is a service that we offer to our clients. You might have a work of art that has been in your family for generations, or perhaps you have just discovered a painting that was owned by a recently deceased family member. Regardless of the situation, it's nice to know what your art piece is worth.
Estate valuation is a service that we provide regularly to our clients. Whether the estate has hundreds of items or just a few, whether it may be worth hundreds of dollars or millions, we can provide an efficient and accurate estate evaluation for you. The passing of a loved one - We often get a call when a parent or grandparent has passed on, and the executor of the estate is left to deal with valuables that were accumulated over a lifetime.
Furniture appraisal may be something you need to have done right away, or you may require it at some point in the future. Sometimes we are contacted by someone who is in desperate need to know the value of several individual pieces. When a loved one passes away, such as a parent or grandparent, they can leave behind a houseful of furniture.
Glass appraisal requires more than just being able to identify the type of glassware and its age. An in-depth knowledge of the history of the various glassmakers adds more dimension to a glass appraisal. It is nice to know the appraised value, which of course is the stated goal of an appraisal; however, the history of an item can make it a much more interesting piece to own.

Todd did a great job! He was well informed, generous with his time and knowledge, and forthright immediately about things outside his area of expertise. I would definitely use him again should I ever need similar services.

I had Todd help me sort through some issues with my parents property and give me an unbiased appraisal of what some of their keepsakes were truly worth. Todd is very knowledgeable and has an incredible network of professionals to help him. He does not deal, buy, or sell antiques, so he's not looking to buy cheap and sell high. I highly recommend him for your estate work!

Contaced the Annapolis office multiple times, twice via email, once by phone, sent pics and description for basic appraisal, never received a reply or call back.
