Animal Clinic Of Edgewater
Our compassion is only equaled by our competence and perseverance in attending to all of your pets medical needs. Whether your cherished family member requires a routine checkup, dental cleaning, ailment diagnosis, blood work, Ultra Sound, X-rays, or surgery; the Animal Clinic of Edgewater has all the technology and expertise on the premises.

We offer all of these benefits at better than competitive pricing. Board and/or bathe your animals at a full service animal hospital. Go ahead and take that long vacation, extended weekend, or trip to the local amusement park. In addition to weekly and nightly rates, we also provide pet day care.
Services
We can supply you with all your flea and tick medication, heartworm prevention, medical shampoo, and joint supplements. We also have the hard to get prescription dog and cat foods, as well as bird food. We are changing our inventory to accommodate the heartworm/flea prevention "Trifexis". So once our supply of Canine Revolution is out, we will no longer be carrying it in house.
Q: What is Heartworm Disease? A: Heartworm disease is a long parasitic round worm. These worms (Dirofilaria immitis) grow (up to a foot long) in the arteries and lungs of animals. As the worms grow, they can cause energy loss, coughing, difficulty breathing, fluid in the abdomen, dizziness, and possibly death.
All of us here at the Animal Clinic of Edgewater are heartbroken at the devastation in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone involved and helping these families with the devastation.

However, a lot of help is not only needed for the people but for the animals as well and here at the Animal Clinic of Edgewater we would like to do whatever we can to help in the aid of the animals that have been affected by these horrible hurricanes. Please help us to collect and send as much donations as possible to the wonderful animals and people of Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico that are helping them.
Due to the rising costs of running a medical facility and the current state of the economy, an estimate will be provided for medical services/supplies for most procedures. It is the client's responsibility, however, to advise us if there are any financial restraints prior to any procedures being performed, even simple vaccines.
Due to numerous clients on a regular basis, canceling or rescheduling appointments the same day, sometimes as late as 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment, there will now be a $25 "same day cancellation/rescheduling" fee assessed. This is a common practice in most human medical facilities and is now a policy here.

I cannot say enough great things about this staff and the doctors. They are always super helpful and kind. I have been going to them for years with no complaints. I have had an issues with pets over the years and without an appointment they have welcomed us! Thanks to them for always being there and caring as much as they do!

Dr Castro had been my vet for longer than I can remember. She was my vet for my police canine and was a full supporter of our unit. She is compassionate, knowledgeable and all about the animal's well being. Dr Castro is superb in her skills and works hard to provide honest and truthful pet care.

Thank you all for treating Margaret so nicely. This poor dog has had it pretty rough and is scared of literally everything. Most vets wouldn’t even see her even though she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body! But you guys took the time to make her feel more comfortable and it meant the world to us. Truly appreciate it!!!
This was Margaret at your office waiting her turn lol

I'm sadly lowering my review from 5 to 2 after seeing a couple of things on the wall in the waiting room. The sheet explained why their staff was not wearing masks and stated that masks don't work. Really? Isn't there a pandemic going on around here?

Everyone so helpful and great mannerism with my mutts. The vet gets down on the floor and loves in my dogs. Appreciate the sincere care of my "kids". If I had to complain, it would be if your needed an immediate appt for say an ear infection, im not sure they allow time for emergent cases

Doctor Castro, and the assistant, Heather who helped me with a unexpected situation...were great! They were very helpful and could safely assess the animal. It was a wild, soft shelled turtle. Luckily, we released it the same day. Thank you

Dr Castro saved my dogs life. Got us in on last minute notice due to a life threatening emergency, and 40+ staples later my baby is fully healed. Can’t thank her and her team enough 💗

I was very nervous about taking my dog Jimmy to the vet as he doesn't take to strangers well. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how caring and mindful the staff was with him. He was very comfortable through his entire visit, and I'm happy to find our new permanent veterinarian
